We arrived a little past the end of serving time, but the staff were willing to accommodate us. The Pork Special, with tender chunks of pork, mashed potatoes, a flavorful gravy, and corn, was delicious. Beautifully presented cheesecake completed our meal.

Very lovely and fun atmosphere, almost heavy handed with the decorations but it was still fun. Seating was uncomfortable and not a place to spend much time in. Staff are very friendly and provide good service. The reason I gave it this rating, and I almost feel like being generous, are the prices you pay. I feel bad for giving them this rating since they just opened but the prices are outrageous. We paid almost $20 for a hamburger with no cheese or fries. The quality of the burger was great, very tasty and the bread was great too but it came with chips and they were bottom of the bag chips, like small crumbles. We paid $8 for a Heineken which seems a bit high. The kids meals were reasonable at $5 and they enjoyed it, just butter and noodles so nothing special. Water was $3, at no point did they say it’s bottled water, we just thought it was tap. It was almost $100 for the 4 of us, just seemed crazy high. They are right on the property of the Quality Inn which was convenient, but if you can avoid it, I would. Sorry Ivo for the review.

Absolutely amazing. The meat was perfect, onion rings crunchy and delicious, my wife took the nuggets and they were great.
Absolutely recommended, fine place and amazing staff. We had a great conversation with the owner that was absolutely a fantastic person.

While the pandemic has been difficult for everyone, I expect a restaurant that I eat at to not give expired bottled water to me. It is March of 2022. In the photo, you can see the date on the bottle of April 12th, 2021. Sure, it’s just water, but what else back in the kitchen is expired too?

Even if the food tasted better, it would be overpriced. Unfortunately, the pasta Bolognese was overcooked and the sauce was too sweet. Our food came out to us suspiciously fast as well.

Finally, this restaurant didn’t give us a physical menu. They only had a handwritten menu on a white board at the entrance, so I went and took a picture to bring back to my table.

Luckily the breakfast for the Quality Inn isn’t served by this restaurant. If you’re staying there and worried about the breakfast, it’s what you’d expect from a hotel breakfast.

Ate here as was staying at the Quality Inn on site. Both myself and my wife ordered the cheeseburger and a coke. Burger was nice enough but served with chips not fries, and for $17.95 would have expected fries. Burger was nice, served on a ciabatta bun. The waiting staff were friendly, the decor was a western rustic look. It was a nice enough meal but I think the prices are a little high for what you get – $17.95 for a burger and plain chips and $4.95 for a glass of soda is steep – but enjoyed nonetheless.

In order to start off on a positive note, I will say that the atmosphere is top-notch. It’s very rustic and is decorated nicely. That being said, the food was horrible, and we were the only customers in the entire restaurant. I’m assuming the older gentleman with the accent who seated us was at least the manager, if not the owner. He took our drink order and handed us a “menu” that consisted of a single sheet of paper placed into a worn out plastic sleeve. The type used in a three-ring binder. As we’re looking at the menu, he highly recommended the “special”, which was one of the items available. It was called “chicken stew” with the option of pork as a substitute. Two of the guests in our party are elderly, and wondered about the portion size. After bringing our drinks, I asked the owner about the portion size, and he seemed to be offended and replied, “all of our food here is high quality and home made”. He never answered my question about portion sizes. All six of us ordered the stew. What arrived was anything but. What they referred to as stew was a piece of chicken/pork that was about the size of a regular-sized Snickers bar covered in tomato sauce. The two sides were corn and mashed potatoes. The waiter that brought our food was nice, but several people in my party told me later that he had a foul body odor. When we were finished eating what I felt was the same quality as an elementary school lunch, the owner asked if we wanted dessert. He reminded us again that everything is “high quality and home made”. We declined. The bill arrived. The total for 6 people to eat came to $144. They charged us $9.60 for 5 glasses of water, and $3.50 for a glass of Sprite. The reason we ate here is because we stayed at the hotel next door. To find another restaurant would have meant driving back to where we came from, or farther down the road where we were headed the next day. If I had been able, I would have ranked the food zero stars. I’ve eaten frozen dinners that were better quality. If there were a change in ownership/management, I feel this would be an excellent place to eat.

DO NOT EAT HERE! The menu is extremely limited. Not even a side salad or soup. $25 for stew. Hamburger was tasteless and cost $17. Beware…you will pay $8 for a drink and they won’t tell you that your refills are costing $8 each too. Eat anywhere but here. Owner was argumentative and hostile.

A tourist trap and a total rip off. The atmosphere and service was good inside, but the food quality and price were outrageous.
The menu had very few items and some of the items listed on the menu were not available. $18 for a veg beyond burger is a joke. The frozen patty wasn’t cooked properly and had a weird taste. They also supply burgers with industrial chips and not freshly prepared chips. I felt cheated by asking me to pay $18 for a cheap quality burger.
Do yourself a favor and find good quality restaurants by driving a few miles down the road. You won’t go to bed disappointed. This place is ridiculous. They don’t even offer free tap water and charge you to ask for water. What an effing restaurant!

We should have walked away once we saw the menu was on a dry erase board, but no we kept thinking it was just quirky. Also, there was a pool table, light up drink wall, live music stage, and a cowboy patrolling the bar with a six shooter on his hip, so we thought the place was worth a try… BUT we were wrong.

Here’s our experience:
We ordered $9 chicken nuggets and an $18 bacon cheeseburger (medium) thinking they were large servings and made in house since the prices were so high. Nope!! The burger was a store bought frozen patty and there were ONLY 6 chicken nuggets that came from a frozen bag and a handful of Ruffles potato chips. Also, the burger came out WELL done and the bacon was undercooked.

We also got the Dinner Salad, which was $9 and about a cups worth of salad (so it should have been called a side salad).

We thought the saving grace would be the “free” popcorn, since the serving sizes were over-priced and so small. Think again… We found out once the bill came that they charged us for the additional popcorn we ate and also for the water we ordered.

The drink prices were not listed anywhere and we were not told we would be charged for water when we ordered.

It is pretty shady business practice to not have the additional charges posted for the customer to see. They only find out once they get the bill.

The $8 Guinness was the only good thing about the meal and it was poured from a can, hence the 1 star rating instead of a zero.

6 chicken nuggets, a burger, side salad, 1 beer and 2 waters came out to $53… and popcorn.

It might be better to go hungry than to stop here for dinner. Seriously. While we were greeted very eagerly, the ownership and staff either lack expertise in how an American restaurant should be run or have no real interest in doing so. Not counting desserts, there were only about six items on the menu, and half of them were burgers. The food might have been acceptable at a greasy spoon diner, but it was priced as a high end restaurant, i.e. way overpriced.
Neither my wife nor I wanted alcohol or a soft drink, so we asked for plain water, which the waiter filled from the soda fountain in our sight. Imagine our surprise when we were each charged $1.95 for it!
Once our food was brought, no one ever approached us again, until we had to ask for the check. I left only a 10% tip, which I now feel was too generous.
This place apparently goes by a number of different names, none of which is obvious from the outside. The menu and receipt say “Ivo’s BBQ”, but there’s nothing “barbecue” about it. The Google listings call “Bulls Restaurant”, and there’s also a listing for “Western House”. By whatever name, it is a waste of your good money to try to eat here.
