The first time I came here i ordered a seafood boil bag with crab. They did give me a shrimp bag but a quick work with the server and I was immediately handed the right food. I remember it being very filling. This time I ordered a Pad Thai. My friends and I were serviced by Vit K and he was super nice! I told him I wasn’t sure what meat to get and he recommended the pork. It was amazing I loved it so much!

Just left with my kids. I’m glad I didn’t read the bad reviews first because it probably would’ve deterred me. I usually go to crab in a bag but have been wanting to try somewhere different. I didn’t notice the lack of sauce because there was still PLENTY to dip all of our potatoes (using for example because they’re huge and potatoes soak up liquid) and seafood. But understandable that people would want more. Crab in a bag does put more sauce but I wasn’t disappointed in the ratio here at all. Loveddd the music. Don’t know if that’s the usual but I hope it is. The server was nice and so was the other man who went around checking on the table. I’m assuming he’s an owner or manager. I didn’t pay attention to the added tip. Usually if I’m happy with the service, I’ll tip the server separately but I understand splitting the tip between the front and back workers. They’re all holding the establishment together. My kids loved it. I was really happy about trying it out. Will be going back for more 🙂

We decided to try this place out after watching a movie at the Maya Cinema nearby. And boy are we glad we did. You can’t beat the price for the quantity And quality of food you’re getting. We’ve been coming here about twice a month now trying different items from their extensive menu. And this time really blew our socks off the crawfish loaded fries were absolutely delicious. We always share a 1 pound peeled Shrimp, a heaping cup of steamed rice and lovely toasted garlic bread. Prices are very transparent on menu. There is a 10% gratuity added already on the bill. However, all you have to do is look at the bill to see it. There’s nothing shady about it. The service was great. The staff was very attentive and always made sure our waters were filled.

The food was delicious. Besides seafood, they also have thai options on the menu. Service was slow but friendly. It took a really long time to get our food, even though the restaurant was empty. We had tickets for the show and allowed ourselves two hours to eat. And we had to rush out of there in order to make it to the show. I would say it took at least 40 minutes to get our order delivered to our table. The food was worth it, but the next time, we will allow ourselves more time. Plus, you need to allow time to take your leftovers home and put them in the refrigerator because they give you lots of food, which is a plus. Overall, I would recommend i know we will be going back there again.

Honestly never thought I’d be writing a disappointing experience for C Fresh, until now.
My family of three went to eat. Mind you, we go pretty often and this time, I decided it would be nice to treat them for lunch on me.
My first complaint: Their sauce ratio to food has gotten much lower than before. It barely filled up the tray and so we asked the person serving at that time if they could add just a little bit more sauce in addition to what was already given. The guy said yes that would be okay. I assumed it was out of kindness, but no, it was later added to the receipt.
My second complaint: I was getting ready to pay on their little portable machine when something caught me by surprise. It was the addition of the extra sauce for $5. I was already baffled but just let it go, it’s just $5 anyways. Then I asked for a paper copy of the receipt. I looked and it has automatically added 10% gratuity? This was not mention nor SHOWED on the little portable machine. We were planning on tipping with cash but since we saw the 10% added gratuity in the total, we decided not to.
My third complaint: In addition, I was conversing with my boyfriend about it and he said him and his family also encountered the same problem. But worse. They ended up double tipping since they also were not aware of the 10% gratuity added.
In conclusion, the food is really good but the shadiness of the whole business was unrighteous. If you want food, get it to go and ALWAYS get a copy of the receipt. You never know what’s been added.

I was very exited to try this place because there isn’t many good places in Bakersfield. I can say our waiter wasn’t the best (because they were not very friendly) but they did come back to ask if we needed a refill on soda. I ordered 1/2 pound of shrimp I got SEVEN pieces of shrimp. And I was still charged a FULL pound. I asked for potato and they gave me like 8 pieces. The sauce was good but VERY little. When I opened the bag, there was nothing on top. What really urged me to write a review is how they added the tip themselves. My friend and I paid separately and we each got charged a tip. The sauce is good but the crawfish on Coffee Rd is 10x better and they don’t charge an extra Dollar to take the head off the shrimp and they actually really put a lot of sauce. First and only time coming here. Super disappointed

I ordered King Crab, squid and mussels! So disappointed! I ordered med- hot for spice and it was barely there. The mussels were absolutely tender and delicious to taste. Scissors were given for crabs, which were difficult to use. After struggling, I asked for a petit crab fork and was provided with the shell crackers, which worked better. By this time- I was done struggling with the $36 crab! The squid was tough- which lets me know it was overcooked. It was like chewing rubber. At $18 cost- I was offered a 5% discount, but provided with 10% which was $1.80 off the squid. Squid is a menu item so I expected it to be eatable. More than half of it was still untouched. I had to keep asking for my drink to be refreshed- finally the male worker noticed and helped. The female server never returned to our table. The MOST disappointing part was the deceit, in my opinion. For those of you who DON’T know- GRATUITY is automatically charged and added to your receipt regardless of how many people are in your party. So please read your receipts and KNOW it can be removed. It’s one thing to suggest and another to add it to your ticket! Then, you get up to the register and you see a tip jar! WTH? You just included a tip on my bill- imagine those who didn’t realize the tip was included. You may be inclined to add to the tip jar! Also, when you pay- it asks and suggests you leave a tip. This establishment KNOWS what they’re doing to get extra! I observed a young couple pay cash and instead of the male worker just give them their change-he asks… do you need any change? (Another way of getting a tip) Automatically the couple DECLINED and told him to keep it! True, it’s up to us to READ our receipts but how many of us realize the tip is added and suggested so many times. I paid for my meal but asked the server to REMOVE my automatic tip and of course, he did! BEWARE folks and REALIZE what is being done!

This location is new to me but i heard good things so i thought i would try it after the movie. Omg! I feel transported back to NOLA with the food and flavors established in them. I had the seafood fried rice but did not understand when they said seafood that it was going to be real sized seafood. Instead of getting a tiny bit of chopped shrimp and a few pieces of calamari, we had oysters, clams, calamari, full peeled shrimp, and crab pieces in shell (def needed some pliers to open it but that made it remind me that this was a true seafood fried rice. It was a massive serving too.
The service was pretty fast and they were nice.
The atmosphere is chill, fun, and clean.
I am definitely excited to see what everything else is like here!
I recommend if you are looking for a good seafood place with some Cajun flavors and a chill vibe.

Their Garlic Noodles I had no idea how good they would be. Also tried their shrimp po boy with lemon pepper fries. On the smaller side but it’s enough either way. Wished I would have gotten sauce for the po boy, it was good as is. I indeed have to go back & try some more!
