This restaurant is so sad now. I remember when it was a cool place to eat. Now it’s a bare bones, virtually empty space with only the serving counter. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese- simple, right? Three workers are there and no one has mentioned anything unusual happening (other than a woman who was paying for an order with a 100 dollar bill, from which they were trying to figure out how to make change). When I take my order to the register to pay, I pull out my card. I was told they don’t take cards. Um- really? Is this a regular thing? No one mentioned this before preparing my food. I (and many people today) use cards and don’t carry much cash. No further explanation or apology was forthcoming. I had to walk out without my bagel, which no doubt was simply thrown away. What a waste of food and such an unfortunate way to do business. RE: OWNER’S RESPONSE – Thank you. I don’t feel it necessary to contact you for a follow up. All the information is above. I am not going to return if you all don’t even have a credit card machine set up. That’s a basic for a business. If the machine was down, I should have been told first or had the food comped. This all happened on the date of this review. This location needs attention. That is all- good luck.

I’ve been going to this Bellemeade location for years…but since COVID, this place is the absolute worst and I will not be going back. Every time I’ve gone in the last year they were out of 80% of bagels – at 10am – and I was told they weren’t making any more. The store has nearly no stock of anything, no side items except for plain chips, and today I was told they no longer carried pickles to accompany sandwiches. I placed my order – and instead of staying in line, like it has always been, I was shooed to the register area (where no one was working the register) and told they would bring my sandwiches down…which took 10 minutes. There was zero management and the back line seemed to be in chaos with only 4 orders. While I stood there, a woman walked back in holding a sandwich pointing out it was made wrong. When I got home, both sandwiches looked like they had been stepped on and were a poor excuse for the quality that once came from this location. Really sad to write this, I used to love going there.

They baked bagels fresh every day here. I had a bacon, egg and cheese bagel with tomato and mayonnaise. Easily the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. I can’t say enough about how good the food is here, and how incredible the staff is. Especially the manager Octavia. She goes out of her way to say hi to everybody that comes in and treat everybody like they’re special. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Hadn’t been here in some time, and it has changed for the worst! I came in for lunch a full hour and a half before close time on a Sunday. I was the only customer there when I walked in. One staff member behind the counter occasionally looked at me, but no greeting or asking me what I’d like to order. After about three minutes standing there, she finally asked me” What are you trying to get?” She told me the price, didn’t ask if I wanted to drink, or anything else, and rang me up a few minutes later. Another lady walked in, asked for coffee, and was told that they were out. The store, which was such a warm, pleasant shop is now unfortunately in disrepair both outside and inside, with no indoor seating anymore. So disappointing. I truly felt like I was a bother to the 2 people who were working. They were ready to go home.

Consistently terrible Bruegger’s location. Leonardo DaVeggie with half the ingredients missing. Western with no egg? Lol it’s almost 11:00, but the staff is still asleep Also – staff was amazingly RUDE.

Don’t go here and don’t make online orders. They don’t know how to use it and they didn’t have eggs and I paid $30 for nothing to eat and they couldn’t even help me get my money back. I’m not cursing on this review but I would if I could. Lady said she didn’t even know how to use the doordash thing but I ordered through the site not doordash. They couldn’t even give me my orange juice I ordered.

Water dripping from ceiling, card machine was down so I placed an order via doordash, came back 10 minutes later and they just told me they are out of bagels and to contact doordash to get a refund. Not very helpful

What a great place to walk-in at 6 in the morning, half asleep still, and greeted with the friendliest and sweetest staff. The girls working were so sweet and helpful. As I ordered they let me know some of the bagels would be 20 cents more (fine by me) but I appreciated them letting me know. I can only imagine they probably get sone mad customers about this (but they don’t set these prices)
