The dancing/dive bar vibe is present here, but they have MANY, many OSHA violations waiting to happen. Bottles of liquor and juices are left uncovered, they do not use sani water (in restaurant language, this is a widely standard and necessary liquid for cleaning surfaces), and there are several safety hazards, as well. Their dancing stage has open, faulty wires, while the mens bathroom frequently has puke in the urinals (and the stench carries throughout about a third of the establishment), the women’s bathroom lacks doors on some stalls, and the handicap accessible stall has a gaping hole in the floor that could easily result in a twisted ankle. There is no toilet paper nor soap for use, no matter the time of day. The floors of the bathrooms do not get mopped and their toilets just as dirty. People dance on the tables and seats, which aren’t regularly wiped down, so don’t wear any pants you don’t want to get sticky or downright dirty.
They try to pass as a cool bar, but prices are high and quality is low. VERY unclean. Would not go here if you want to avoid getting germy and sick. Sorry for being such a Karen, but as a college student, I have pretty low standards, so you can imagine this has to be bad.

My favorite bar in EL. I like the closed in U shaped area, and the staff is pretty nice. Their drinks are also good and it doesn’t get as packed as Rama on Thursdays. The dance floor sucks, but the rest of the bar is laid out nicely and gives the college vibe.

Sometimes there’s cover depending on how busy they are. Has a pretty decent selection of draft beer and cider. Wheel of shots is really fun. Bar tenders always give cups for quarters and other games. There’s a dance floor with a dj and stage. Lots of booths and tables.

Asked the bartender for two vodka redbulls — he charged me $20 with an automatic $4 gratuity. I even specifically asked for the cheapest vodka. When I flagged him down and asked why so expensive, he shot me a horrible glare and then just walked away. Looked at my bank account later and now suddenly there is $28 charged to my card??! This business is a literal SCAM.

The drinks are fine. The bathroom is atrocious. I thought I was going to hepatitis Z. There were tampons on the floor, entire tp rolls IN the toilet, and no toilet paper in any of the stalls. The sinks were filled with used toilet paper. It was diagusting. When I asked an employee if he had seen the bathroom, he responded with “oh I’ve heard, they rarely clean it”. I can’t imagine an employee using that bathroom. The bar was fine! But the bathroom honestly ruined the experience. I literally had to hold it until I got home!!!

Seriously. Being older and ignored to be waited on. The worst ever..seriously and we tip nicely. Unbelievable. No recommendations. Sat and waited for service from bartender while she waited on YOUNG customers and we kept waiting then walked out. We were the first customers at the bar. No excuses.

Asked them on Facebook if they served wine. Instead of simply saying “no, sorry” they gave a deliberately sarcastic response along the lines of “we’ll stock it just for you!” I didn’t appreciate the sarcasm. It was uncalled for.
I actually went there to check it out. Poor beer selection, no food at night, and bathrooms leave something to be desired.

So far as East Lansing bars go, you probably won’t get any better. It strikes a good balance between crazy college bar and chill lounge, but don’t expect the best drinks in the world. Anything involving sour mix is going to be VERY sour. And not very alcoholic. Still, a good place to meet up with friends for a game of quarters.

I have been going to this bar for literally years and with all the new employees it’s a complete waste of time to set foot in there anymore. Not only does it take seriously 15 minutes to get anyone to acknowledge you but also you used to get a pitcher of their 2 “craft” beers for $6 on Thursdays it’s now $16 for some reason. Oh last thing when I was in there tn one of the douche bartenders gave me, a guest, a paying customer, the finger and walked away. I know it’s a dirt bar but come on. That’s not how you get tips/ do anything at a place of business. You and your short ass should be fired. You know who you are little boy
