Decided an everything bagel with butter was what I wanted for breakfast this morning. I’ve never been here before but I would definitely return the next time I’m in the area. The coffee was good as well. Parking was an issue. The lot entrance is on a side street before the store.

I really like their bagels, and I’ve been coming here for 5 years, but lately the service has dipped. Last week I had the person waiting on me stop to help another customer while in the process of ringing me up, then hand my food to that customer. I’m glad that customer checked their order before leaving, as he’d walked with my burnt bagel. On that note, the toaster is also on overdrive, so the past two bagels have been burnt, as in I’ve had to scrape the black off burnt. I think I’m done with Brendel’s for awhile.

$8.00 for a breakfast sandwich. Was asked for over easy it was overcooked. I just feel like if you’re going to charge that type of money, at least give a reason. The bodega is much better and it’s only three dollars.

They have signs outside and inside for Acai bowls, but don’t sell them yet. They said hopefully by January. Why have a sign outside which got me to come in if you don’t sell it? I ordered a grilled cheese and bacon on sesame and got only a grilled cheese. I was there at 1:45 pm and the kitchen was closed for french fries , so they offered different salads instead. But the one I wanted ( cuccumber, tomato, and mozz)was $2 extra, so I said fine. I didn’t get that but I got different one(cuccumber and onion). I am guessing I paid for the better everything since my bill was $14 for the grilled cheese and a soda. Will not be going back.

Overall horrible experience. We catered a big party with them had them bring everything and ordered food over months in advance. A week before the party we called to confirm everything just make sure we were on the same page and the lady rushed us off the phone didn’t wanna stay on phone to make sure everything was going to run smoothly for the party . We asked for food to come at 11:30 , when we were serving , the food showed up 9:00 , completely wrong time we had no room in any fridge to put tons of food , snd half of the food was wrong . They forgot 30 bagels, butter, cream cheese, brought wrong foods, and didn’t even give us not enough food to feed everyone when we had no budget. Truly a horrible place to order or cater from and the food was not even good. Guest did not like the salads the bagels etc . Would not recommend this place to anyone because for the price it was it was now worth of food or the service at all it was truly horrible. Will never go back or recommend to anyone.
