In short: delicious! fresh! great sides! would go out of the way to go back here!
Stopped in here on an August afternoon when birding had been ruled out by rain. It was mid-afternoon on a Saturday and lots of folks where coming and going.
We ordered at the till and the person there was helpful. She recommended her favourites for our first visit. We had tender and tasty pork ribs and the pulled pork, which was also good, not too fatty or over cooked.
The sides were also spot on. We enjoyed green beans and coleslaw. The beans were well seasoned not over-cooked. The coleslaw was fresh, crunchy, and tasty.
Definitely check out their bbq sauces. I can’t recall which one I liked the best, but definitely try them all.

We popped in here for lunch-small place off the beaten path a little ways, with a nice but smaller interior and a fun outside eating area. The food was wonderful, they were training some new folks but everyone was polite and helpful. The brisket was tasty but dry, the Mac and cheese and chicken n dumplings were to die for. The collard greens were fabulous, the chicken tenders were juicy and fresh, and the mashed potatoes were awesome. Highly recommend the fries as well. The environment was very quiet, the parking lot is a bit rough, but a great place!

Came here for dinner, the food was amazing delicious. The venue itself needs a little upgrade. The seating inside is small but they do have outdoor seating. It’s great in the summer but not your first choice in the winter. So keep that in mind if you’re coming here with a large party in the winter. I took my food to go because it was crowded inside and it was too cold to sit outside with the little ones. Besides that the food is definitely worth stopping here . I had ribs that were so tender and flavorful with mac & cheese, and mash potatoes. But the highlight was the fried catfish. By far the best fried catfish in the area . It’s a must have if you like fish. Keep up the great work. Hopefully in the future you might expand the indoor space in the winter.

Brisket Miss, Sides Hit – Hoping It Was Just an Off Day
Stopped by Boss Hog BBQ in Pigeon Forge for lunch. I ordered the brisket plate, which looked amazing but unfortunately came out a little dry. On the flip side, the sides saved the meal—the collard greens and coleslaw were fresh and full of flavor. My kids ordered chicken tenders, and those came out hot, crispy, and clearly straight from the fryer.
Service was friendly and quick, and the place has that laid-back BBQ joint vibe you want. I’m chalking up my brisket to maybe an off day in the kitchen because everything else showed promise. I’d definitely give them another shot when we’re back in town.
If you go, grab the sides and maybe try the chicken or ribs—you might hit the sweet spot!

Food was absolutely delicious and good portions. had the pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, and a bit of my husband’s chicken and dumplings. All were very tasty. special mention for the chicken and dumplings- I usually do not like this but the bite i had was actually really good and had me wanting more if I’d had any room left in my stomach for it. Also the bbq sauce was great too- we both liked the more golden colored one and might have to come back just to buy some. Staff was very friendly and they make sure everything is to your liking- even have a little sign on the napkins asking to please say anything so they can ensure you enjoy your experience.

Best authentic Southern comfort food; hands down. HIGHLY recommend, cannot stress enough, highly recommend the brisket sandwich, collard greens and Mac and cheese with their home made banana pudding. I came for classic southern food and they completely blew us out the water. Very hospitable, funny people, honestly felt like I was in my mother’s kitchen. Seriously, do not skip!!! Also, mix their regular bbq sauce with their “Boss Hogg’s BBQ sauce” WILL NOT be disappointed.

Dont let the paper plate and plastic fork fool you! The food was AWESOME! Normally on vacation, regardless of location, we try to find restaurants that have minimal customers and great looking food. This is one of them. This will be one of our new stops every time were in the area! Go get yourself a brisket sandwich!!!

Wow… food is amazing. I can personally recommend the Catfish, Brisket and Chicken and dumplings. Very affordable prices and you will not be disappointed. Mac n cheese and collard greens are best had here. People were very friendly and care about you. Highly recommend and ordered more food to take back home as it’s that dag gone good!!!

Stopped for dinner after a hike through the Tuckaleechee Caverns. I had the pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw and baked beans. My wife had the beef brisket sandwich with coleslaw and collard greens. Her brisket was a tad dry. Otherwise a good meal and I recommend this place.

Some of the best brisket I’ve had. All the side dishes were delicious as well to include the chicken n dumplings. Parking was bit tight and limited but that’s due to the small indoor dining room size. If the weather was better the outdoor seating would have been ideal for a party of 7 or larger. The outdoor seating essentially doubles the dining area, but due to the weather and season you’re at the mercy of mother nature. Overall great experience and I will eat here again.
