We reached there at 4pm on Saturday evening. The place was all empty and quick service. They have very few options so we stuck with street food options. Pav bhaji was great, vada pav was good, bhej puri is good if you like sour things.

We visited Bollywood Theater around 4:30 pm on a Friday. It was about 50% full at this time. You order first before you sit, as stated on the sign when you are entering. You grab a menu and then pull up to the front counter to order your food. They provide you with a number to take to your table so they can bring your food and drinks to you. The vibe was very traditional, and there was a lot of cultural decor. I personally loved the Indian style decor and pillows on the seats. The restaurant has seating indoors and outdoors. We sat inside. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond by making us feel welcome and providing great recommendations. Everyone was extremely friendly. We were a party of 3, and what we ordered was more than enough to be satisfied. We ordered Ginger-lime soda, which was delicious and tastes just as it sounds, like a lime ginger beer. We also ordered the Thums Up, Indian Cola on ice and Limca, which tastes close to a 7up. We ordered Thali Meals with Paneer Makhani, which is the larger plate with food. We ordered the Kati Roll with chicken. Both were delicious, but my favorite was the Kati Roll. I’m not a huge spicy food fan, so the food we ordered is very mild. We spent $50.75, not including the tip. The overall experience for me personally was 5 star because of the service, overall value, and quality.

If you visited Portland and didn’t stop at Bollywood Theater then you haven’t seen Portland enough. Very lively place with some really good food selection. As you can see ordered Vada Pav and chai. Both were good. Just added a bonus photo.

Absolutely delicious Indian Cuisine in heart of vibrant SE Division St in Portland. The service was friendly and prompt, and the food was creative, attractive, and tasty.

It was just ok. Cool atmosphere. I got the kati roll and that was great. The saag paneer was strange—the green sauce was just stewed/cooked veggies and not blended. But still tasted alright. Also the prices were quite expensive for thali plate.

Food is sumptuous and flavorful. The decor has the charm of a spacious dhaba with little touches of Indian cinema.

Delicious & aromatic food. It was very busy on a Monday night. You stand in line to order food BEFORE claiming a table to sit at. Cocktails are interesting & tasty. I had the chicken grilled tikka bowl. Yum! Definitely worth trying out.
