I was there for breakfast and got one of their skillets. It was a large serving and I ordered it with their biscuits. The biscuits (2) were large and came with strawberry jam. I could not finish all of it! I will definitely be back to try other dishes. The meal was $17 plus coffee and tip, so don’t expect McDonald’s prices.

First let me say…the service was good. The hash browns tasted of old grease. Gravy was a little funky. I wish they’d clean more. The vents in the ceiling are filthy. All I could think of was what they were blowing all over our food. Don’t think I’ll be back.

Friendly crew greeted and seated us promptly. Drink order was taken quickly, but took a bit long to arrive. I had the Country Benedict which normally comes with hash browns or potatoes but they effortlessly substituted fruit. Eggs were perfectly poached, sausage was super dry, biscuit was small but fluffy, gravy was hot not super flavorful though. Portion sizes were excellent for price. Asked for refill of coffee in to-go cup and they gave it to me pleasantmy but again, took awhile.

Made a visit at 7am when they first opened for the day and it was so very pleasant outdoors, I asked to be seated at an outdoor table. That was no problem and my drink order was immediately taken. This was my first visit, so I reviewed the menu and ordered The “Black Oak Kielbasa” scramble (diced beef, pork & turkey sausage) with cheese and veggies served with hashbrowns, two biscuits, butter and jam. The scramble was very nice and flavorful with the sausage and veggies. The biscuits were light and fluffy and served with a sweet strawberry jam. Although the hashbrowns were nice and crispy, they were completely flavorless. I kept adding additional pepper and a little salt and thought how nice and tasty these potatoes would be if they just used a little onion and garlic or even some garlic salt to give it some flavor. Perhaps most people cover it in ketchup, but I’m not a fan of ketchup on my hashbrowns. I would’ve had given my breakfast a 5-star review if the hashbrowns had any flavor at all!

This is a local gem. The staff here is friendly and is doing a great job with wearing masks, gloves, ensuring guests are following our Governor’s mandates for patrons, and disinfecting tables and chairs as soon as guests leave.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal here. It’s kind of an open country kitchen vibe kind of place. Good pancakes, French toast, omletes, eggs Benedict, etc. They use red potatoes, country cut just fyi…not sure about hashbrowns

A very nice place for breakfast. Friendly staff and my omelette was great and the potatoes were really good. And of course the biscuits were great as well, especially with the marion berry jam. I got mine to go and it was no problem to get ketchup and a selection of hot sauce to go too.
