This was surprisingly delicious. We didn’t really know what to expect but we’re so happy we came. We ate the Chilli Cheese Fries; Famous Big Breakfast with Fried Rice; Mama’s Breakfast Bread Pudding; Keiki Grilled Cheese with French Fries and a side of Bacon. Everything was freshly made and really good.

Tell me you hate your job without telling me you hate your job? Our waitress had the WORST attitude. She definitely didn’t want to be there. On top of that they posted a special online for HH so we chose to go there instead of to Whiskie dix and then ended up telling us that you had to buy two drinks per person once we got there. We were in a party of six that didn’t drink so that would have meant six sodas or lemonades and we definitely weren’t going to do that. I thought that was very sketch and false advertisement. The only reason I’m actually giving it two stars is because the manager was nice enough to agree to letting us do two drinks for 2 50% off appetizers. However, there should never have been a cap because that was an advertised. There should never have been a false expectation to buy two drinks because that also was an advertised. Actual food was good. We got the steak and nachos. I love that they have a creative idea to do poke nachos. I enjoyed the food but all in all probably wouldn’t go back.

Wonderful staff, the food came out fast, and it was absolutely delicious and very tasty. Enjoyed by my whole family. Even the prices are good. $20 for a wonderful burger and fries. The bbq sauce was wonderful too, sweet, tangy, and goes great with the fires l. Thank you Big City Diner for this food.

Convenient location with ample parking for dinner. Lunch can be tough given the parking lot is shared with a lot of businesses. Restaurant is older and comfy and the staff is helpful and friendly. It has some really good Kimchee Fried Rice. Today my family ordered takrout items we never tried before and it was good. Kimchee Fried Noodles were tasty but not as good as the rice. Loco moco was a decent size but not not the top of my list. I would skip the ham and cheese sandwich as the ham was not sliced ham we are used to and it seemed like a processed ham substitute. Chicken tenders were good enough for my little one to finish them. We will be again but we will stick with our usual fare.

This is hands down my favorite local place to eat in Oahu. I primarily come for the breakfast, but had lunch once as well.

Best local style diner and menu IMHO. Stopped over for late breakfast. Over the years we’ve visited several locations and the quality was consistently good with a wide variety of choices. For brunch, the breakfast bread pudding with haupia (coconut) crème sauce and macadamia nut was “broke da mouth” delicious. Patrons seem to be mostly local, a good sign that this restaurant is highly respected.

They would have gotten 5 stars if they had gotten my 3rd order correct. 1st order: Cobb Salad = fantastic! 2nd order: Fried Rice, no egg = Spot On! 3rd order: Fried Min Noodles, no egg = Bloop, they put the egg in ‍ (lucky it didn’t go to waste as I gave it to my BFF) I told the waiter I was allergic to eggs when I made the order!
