One of the best local BBQ joints around. A regular stop when I am on the bike, or just simply in the area. Have had the chicken and the pork BBQ. Both are great. The Mac and Cheese is tremendous. And, during the winter, their brisket chili is awesome!

GOOD STUFF. I’m a BBQ addict. I stopped in after a day of hiking. Ordered the brisket plate and a pulled pork plate. The Brisket was competition level tender, 10/10. The pork shows up leaning a little heavy to the North Carolina style…heavy on the vinegar before sauce 7/10.

I have yet to taste better brisket. The food is excellent, even compared to the myriads of BBQ places I’ve tried in KC. My wife commented that the food is so good it’s ridiculous! Now, it’s my go-to joint for BBQ. Their ribs, beans, hush puppies and even their greens are delicious.

Excellent bbq. House sauce has an excellent balance of sweet, spicy, sour, salty, and savory. Sweet sauce and spicy sauce both live up to their names as well without being overpowering. Pulled pork was juicy, well seasoned and flavorful on its own. Perfect mix of interior and exterior crispy edges on the plate. Potato salad was astounding, not excessively rich or heavy, but still had the weight that is expected with potato salad. Inclusion of raw peppers gave a freshness and crispness to the salad not usually encountered. Highly recommend if you are in the area during the weekend.

stopped by today for lunch after visiting a vineyard… Excellent brisket sandwich w/ loads of meat on it and great sides (collard greens and potato salad). The hushpuppies were fried to perfection and not the least bit greasy… Staff was super nice/personable as well.. Will def. return when in the area! So excited to have happened upon this great place! thanks for a great lunch !

Best BBQ I have had in a long time. Sides are excellent as well. Place is very clean and owner is very nice. Mild to very hot sauces. All are great.

Great BBQ definitely in the top 3 of best in town I have tried every BBQ place in a 50 mile radius and they are worth going back every time with average BBQ price’s. If I write a review its either because it was great or horrible in this case 2 thumbs up !!
