Fabulous birthday cake that one of my colleagues brought into the office. His birthday, not mine. A white sheet cake with very pretty icing, well decorated and tasty. A little flavor of almond extract in there that brought a lovely flavor. With a cup of coffee, a perfect breakfast if perhaps a bit sweet for my taste but it IS a birthday cake and others certainly appreciated it.

I had never been in before and everyone there was so unbelievably nice and helpful. The owner (I believe it was the owner because I saw his picture around the store) was even walking around saying hello to all the customers. Everything I purchased was amazing! Hubby did (not) like the crumb cake, it didn’t have much flavor at all. It’s actually very bland! First time trying this bakery. Entenmann’s had a crumb cake year’s ago that they sold in stores, it was very good and very flavorful. Sad nobody can top it!

I hadn’t been here since it was Clayton Bakery, which I loved. Read that the new owner kept all the recipes. Was in the area and stopped in. Spent $35 on an assortment of items. Sorry to say I was very disappointed in the taste and quality and not at all what I remembered. I ended up throwing most of it away. I won’t be returning!

The best classic donuts in St. Louis!!!!!! Awesome friendly service and we will definitely be back to fulfill our donut cravings. The frosting is delicious and very fresh with an awesome consistency – some other places it tastes a little stale or too sweet.
