I have been coming here for several years now and this has consistently been my number one place to go. I know I am guaranteed nothing short of an absolutely delicious fresh vegan meal with with outstanding friendly service. They always have a standard menu plus specials on the board. The chef is so creative with the meals and sauces that you will never be disappointed. Everything is just top notch from the salads to the meals to the desserts. It’s a smaller cozy atmosphere inside with wonderful art on the walls. If you are looking for the perfect end of an evening then this is your stop.

Bela is my favorite go-to when I’m in Northampton. Whether alone or with friends, it is a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy a freshly cooked, healthy and vibrant meal. Vegetables!!! I wandered into Belas’s by chance because I was craving vegetables. One of their signature dishes is a veggie sautée over brown rice and rice noodles. So delicious and satisfying. Their salads are also very nice – this version was topped with roasted golden beets, chick peas, carrots and other delights. I’ve only had the Gorgonzola dressing so far and it was amazing. The service is friendly and kind. I haven’t tried any of the more substantial dishes but based on the steady stream of takeout orders, I am guessing they are just as good. It’s a small eclectic and cozy place with holiday lights strung throughout to give it a warm glow. Please note: this is a cash only business and if you like perfume – essential oils, you will want to wait to apply any scent since the chef is very allergic / sensitive to fragrances. Don’t get insulted – just don’t go here. I witnessed one couple storm out. The food here is worth it.

Bela is a gem of a vegetarian restaurant. Their food is amazing, fresh, and flavorful. It’s healthy and nourishing. The people working there are so friendly and warm and they update the menu each week. If you’re a vegan, vegetarian, or want a break from all the other stuff, come and enjoy this fantastic little place.

Bela’s is a great, locally owned vegetarian restaurant in downtown Northampton. The food is really good, and the wait staff is amazing. Food that is vegan, dairy free, and/or gluten free is clearly marked. Most of their ingredients are locally sourced. The restaurant is fairly small and extremely popular, so I recommend getting there earlier in the evening. Heavy fragrances are banned because the cook has allergies. This may bother some people, but I think it’s awesome. They also have local art for sale hanging on the walls.

Absolutely delightful! All the vegan and gluten-free options are clearly marked. The staff is friendly. The food is beautiful. The salad is delicious. All of the vegetables were perfectly cooked and tasty which is a rarity that I truly appreciate. The chocolate cake was spectacular. I highly recommend it.

Vegetarian comfort food, always delicious and fairly priced. Servers are prompt, accommodating, friendly and inviting. They have a good variety of options on their regular menu but their specials board is always creative and changes almost daily. On top of all this, you are welcome to bring your own wine or beer to accompany your meal. Love this place!

The food is different, but delicious. Everything is home made and if you’re a meat eater like me, it might seem weird going in here at first. But if you get past the all vegetarian menu it’s actually nice to try something different. The salad dressings are world class and the rotating entree menu is great as you always have something new to try. Her homemade ice cream was hands down the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted. Definitely worth a shot if you are in the area. Service is also spot on as many other reviews mention.
