Stopped in just for a quick drink while touring the garden district. Wonderful place to stop. Great drinks and had a great conversation with the bar tender. We had the best catfish sandwich we have ever had. Large filet, deep-fried, and a homemade coleslaw on the top. Also, a really great gumbo soup. Great cocktails! My wife had a pear drink that had a rose petal on the top of the drink. I’m glad we stopped in. As a history teacher, I also got my take of history with the picture of the official signing of the Saints into the NFL. Who knew it was done right here?

Great lounge at the Ponchitran Hotel. We heard terrific jazz worth double finger snapping hands. New Orleans jazz to the core. The signature cocktails are tasty. Food menu was good. Small portions and ours arrived barely warm.

Hot damn, get yourself over to this amazing jazz bar! Not only was the music phenomenal, but the food was my favorite meal out of a week of eating out in NOLA. My favorite item was the Sticky Rib Tips w/ Jalapeño Jelly. The price was more than reasonable for all the food. I look forward to returning here in the future.

Tried it by accident and it was a delight. Claudia my bartender was delightful, attentive and even found me a plug to keep working.

One of my favorite spots to see jazz in New Orleans. Peter has done a great job cultivating an amazing space, with incredible musicians. You never know who’s going to sit in. Cocktails aren’t cheap, but tasty. Great whiskey selection, great old fashioneds. Order the kale Caesar if you’re hungry, shares a kitchen with Jack Rose.

I love the bar but went for happy hour, which I called about prior to going and was told there was a happy hour but was misinformed. I will go back for beer which is more reasonable than the wine, and for the music. The grilled cheese with mushrooms wasn’t good. The fries were good but not for $12. As a local I’d go more often if the food was worth the prices.

Came to the hotel and bar to see how beautiful it was in person. Really enjoyed sitting at the bar drinking the most refreshing lemonade and Tito’s I’ve ever had. The bartender Cole was awesome and chatted with us about all things New Orleans. We will definitely be back when visiting again!

My friend and I came in on a whim one Thursday night to see some jazz. The place was packed, there seemed to be only on server on the floor and she was working her butt off! We got our drinks and food out quickly (everything was delicious) and the music was great. It was such a fun atmosphere. The only downside was a table of jazz fest tourists that were louder than the music.

Small bar with above average food and service was fantastic. The music can be a little loud other than that it was great.

I can’t, in good conscience, give this any less than five stars. We’re visiting from out of state for work and came here on a whim just for food. What we actually got was amazing food, great wine, excellent cocktails, great service (serious shout-out to Jason who was rocking it all night), and absolutely incredible jazz from Firm Roots. It was the highlight of my NOLA trip…and some of the best calamari I’ve had, and I’ve eaten a lot of it. Oh, and the nicest locals. We stayed for hours and I have no regrets!
