Staff is nice. Can get busy. Good drinks menu. Really good food. I liked the perch and the chicken tacos. Lobster Taco was meh and not worth it. I enjoy their cauliflower as well. And the Mexican street corn. Wish they had refried beans. A pleasant two hours. Seems to be an after school hangout so it can get loud

Came in around 3pm on a Saturday, there were only 2 other patrons and only one employee. Tables were sticky, I asked the server if the cilantro/lime sauce was overpowering and they said no but all I could taste was lime. I love cilantro/lime but this was disgusting!!

The quality of food has gone way down. The prices go up and you get less food than before. This picture is from our last visit. Ordered 2 beef tacos and the one on the right barely had 2 spoonfuls in it. This is not worth $5. I said something to the waitress and they did make it right, but this is not the first time this has happened. We also got the traditional salsa and it was definitely spoiled. It tasted so bad. I know they are having cook issues but there is zero excuse for this. Paying $5 for a taco, it should be completely full. We will not be going back.

Just left and it was laughable. The food is actually pretty decent. The waitress and bar staff were just pitiful. Bar person had no idea what was on tap, no idea what an IPA was, retrieved our own glasses for beer, napkins and had to ask for set ups. They had no clue regarding sauces. Staff were on phones and in kitchen talking and laughing it up. AND we were the only ones there for 30 minutes. Used to really enjoy coming here but this place is going down hill quickly. I think we’re done!

Oh gosh…I loved dining in at this place but I couldnt have imagined tonight’s carryout being so bad. The guacamole was old and had no flavor…no salt or acid, just mashed avocados, and old ones at that. The three chicken tacos tasted fine, and that was the saving grace for two stars. The watermelon lemonade had no lemon or sugar…was like watered down watermelon juice. The cornbread with honeybutter was rancid. The butter had no honey and smelled like it was turned. The cornbread looked okay but tasted horribly burnt or rancid to the point of being inedible….totally gross. Wish I had just gotten chipotle tonight.

This place is very nice inside and casual. I had a Carnitas Taco $4, we shared Queso $6 and a Lobster Guacomole $10. The Carnitas Taco was underwhelming, you can get a better one at Chipotle for $2.90. The Queso was great and the Lobster Guac was ok. One of our party got a Grilled Shrimp Taco $4 and a Firecracker Shrimp Taco $6 and she loved them both.

The food was so excellent. Best tacos around! It came out very fast and the staff is just amazing! The general manager was the absolute sweetest and had a very nice conversation with me. He is very relatable and passionate about Barra to ensure all needs were met. I can’t say enough kind stuff about the staff here. Their street corn was the tastiest I ever had and had become my favorite snack. 100% recommend their lobster taco! Great job at the Amherst location! I will be back and will recommend to everyone.

Barra is a great place. The rustic atmosphere is very relaxing and the service is very friendly. The tacos are unique and awesome delicious. The menu is all a la carte so you can create your own unique meal.

Should have checked the recent reviews before stopping in. We greeted by a very pleasant young lady, but once drinks and food arrived, she never came back. Instead standing at the bar with the other ladies looking at their phones. The orders of corn were luke-warm to cold. The perch were fried completely nearly black. The side of rice had an overwhelming lime flavor. The location is as cute as can be, but the food and service were a big miss.
