Delicious Thai entrees with great Thai tea. Som tum (papaya salad) wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it was fine. It was missing fresh green beans and wife said it didn’t seem like they used a mortar to make it. Everything else was top notch with tons of flavor. We ordered like 5 dishes and brought leftovers home. Prices are typical. Plenty of places to sit. Waiter/waitresses were nice. Young kids working on the weekend, gotta respect that. We will be back. Not going to leave a 4 star for the som tum cause everything else was amazing and they are nice.

I’ll have to come back and try more items. Relaxed vibe with snacks and goodies you can take home. Everybody seemed sweet. It wasn’t very busy. I liked that they have a beer and wine license but they’re missing out on revenue by not keeping these items in stock! The Nam Tok was tasty and a good portion. The large order of sticky rice is actually “large” compared to other places. The papaya salad wasn’t my favorite but it’s customizable which I’ll try next time. Great spot to catch up and have a conversation as well as get lao food which I crave alll the time.

Never tried Laon cuisine before and we quite enjoyed it. First decent pork belly I have had in about 10 years (although I did have the urge afterwards to wash my mouth out with soap or have a very fizzy soda!). Service was good and seating comfortable. Unfortunately, appears to be located in a rough part of town. There was a homeless person literally sleeping next to the entrance and a couple more vagrants within about 10 feet. Sad to see but also might make some people feel unsafe.

My wife and I have found our favorite Lao restaurant. The restaurant is family friendly, and and although it’s not a large place, we haven’t had any issues with seating yet.

I’ve gotten takeout from here a bunch of times. Absolutely love all the flavors, probably my favorite Lao restaurant in SD. Nam Khao is unbelievable, I could eat that every day. Everyone who works there who I’ve interacted with has been extremely nice and informative about the food and flavors. Love trying new things from here but the nam Khao will always remain my must-haves.

Good food, but wish they took salt just a tad down. Wife complained it was too salty. Papaya was crunchy and fresh. Sauce was decent. Wish we had added the shells. Beef larb was good. It again salty. Kapoon was excellent. Sausage was too salty and portion was small. Love the sticky rice though.

The hands down best Lao cuisine in San Diego! It’s a true hidden gem because they’re hidden in a little strip mall right off the 15 Fwy & University Ave. The food there is always amazing with the same flavors everytime. We always come here for their boat noodle soup & papaya salad. Their beef jerky & sour pork fried rices is also very delicious. Today we tried their sour pork & pineapple shrimp fried rice & it was delicious. They have a variety of food here. A must restaurant if you’re visiting San Diego & craving Lao/Thai food. Plus if you check in via Yelp, Facebook or Instagram… you get a complimentary thai ice tea or thai ice coffee. The service is great. They only accept cash, but if you forgot your cash at home….it’s ok cuz they also have an ATM inside for you to withdrawal cash. Give them a try…you won’t be disappointed!

An authentic restaurant with unique dishes, tentative service, and reasonable prices. My own favorite is their boat noodle soup, which comes with a lot of different ingredients and full of flavors.
