If I could give a zero rating for this I would. I don’t know how they are still open. The service is terrible. The noodles were mushy, no broccoli, no white sauce, only bottled drinks, and $3 extra for chicken. I only got a couple of shaved pieces of chicken. Their ordering is weird. They weigh your food. The math doesn’t add up. They kept fussing at us to sit down. My husband got fussed at when he was asking what I wanted to drink. Worst experience. Definitely will not return

Worst Mongolian place I’ve ever been. Only thing positive is the food bar. Everything is well chilled. No service, minimal drink selection, over priced for what you get. Drive the extra 12 miles to crazy Fire.

The food was really good. First time here and I only came because my husband raved about it so much. I will say on a 81 degree day there was no AC so it was insane hott in there. No direction for new people on where to go once you walk in. And we got there at like 5 and we were like the 2nd couple in there. Was beyond empty felt kinda creepy. You can tell it once was in its prime but it’s not so much anymore ‍♀️ also I feel they should add more toppings like broccoli and things more choices

The Garner location some times feels like the forgotten child in the Bali Hai family but I have to say that they do a great job here. The staff is helpful and easy to get along with. The cook knows his spice levels pretty well. I have never had a bad dish here.

So if you’re expecting a normal Mongolian grill experience, be prepared for disappointment. They only had two kinds of mystery meat on display, and the bowls you can use don’t let you put anything.

I love Bali Hai! The food is tasty and the price is just right. You buy one or two bowls and fill with your favorite meat and veggies— as much as you can fit into your bowl. The meat is high quality and is frozen when you add it to your bowl (as opposed to other Mongolian Grills whose meat is left out at room temperature for who knows how long…yuck), and the veggies are always fresh. The sauces are delicious and you can choose to have no spice or as much as you like. I’ve eaten at the Durham location, the old Raleigh location, and now this location and they are all top notch.

What should’ve been an eight dollar plate of food ended up costing me $15 with tax because they added a pound and a half of rice into my order. I won’t come back to this place it’s a rip off adding that extra weight. sad thing was the food was great.

Procedures are different, but food remains awesome. Pay ahead (even when eating in) and no table service – basically you buy to-go an then eat at a table in the restaurant. Works for me!
