Absolutely incredible! Possibly the best Ethiopian food I’ve ever had. I have tried Ethiopian restaurants all over the country, and this place really blew me away. The market is also really cool. You can get grains and spices that you can’t find anywhere else. The vibe was awesome, loved all the decorations. The girls were worked there were so nice and helpful. Very very very affordable prices for how much food you get. Great experience. Next time I am in Houston, this will be my first stop.

It’s hard for me to give a fair rating. I never had african food before but I personally don’t like it. The gray pancake( can’t remember what it’s called) is too sour and with the salad it becomes soggy. I think african food is very similar to mexican food but they use grain sour wrap not totila. The 3 stars gives the shrimp coz it really tastes like mexican which is good. I do like the decorations, very unique.

I’ve been to a *lot* of Ethiopian restaurants, and this is definitely one of the absolute best. Super authentic flavors and great portion sizes. We ordered the sort of veggie super combo (12 dishes) and every element on the injera was perfect. We’ll be back for sure.

This place is amazing, Best Ethiopian in Houston and we have tried a number. Came here for the first time today and oh my gosh yum. We got a combo of vegetarian. It was all so delicious and so flavorful. Service was friendly and the decor is nice. Don’t let the outside put you off. Will definitely come back.

To start off, this was my first time eating Ethiopian cuisine. The staff were very kind and helpful while I was ordering the Veggie Combo plate. I loved the environment and my veggie sambusa came out piping hot and crispy- loved it. All the dishes I got were so flavourful! A great introduction to Ethiopian food, I would definitely come back again.

First time my friend and I tried Ethiopian food, we had zero idea what we were in for. We chose this place because it seemed authentic, which I believe it is. The menu could be a bit confusing if you’re not familiar with the food or the language, but the waitress was able to help us make some choices despite there being a bit of a language barrier. Most of the staff here speak fairly good English, but some of the details can definitely be lost in translation. That’s no fault of their own and I completely understand, I’m just putting it out there in case you really want a detailed description of the food or have specific questions about the food as in allergies or diet related, etc. The food itself was great, it took a bit to come out but once we saw the portion size, we were very understanding that this isn’t a thrown together plate of food, this is something they take their time to craft the best they can. We couldn’t even finish everything, there was so much food and we were so excited to try something new! Everything seemed hand made from scratch, you won’t find frozen or canned shortcuts here. There were maybe one or two things on the plate I didn’t care for flavor wise, but as an American, I really enjoyed the new culinary experience and I’m very grateful that a place like this exists, and I’m very thankful to the staff here who are very friendly, always smiling and doing their best to bring their cultural food as authentically as possible to the people of Houston. Definitely, definitely will be back!
