Nice quick serve cafe. I had the BBQ ribs, collards, and the green beans. Also their peach cobbler. Staff was friendly. Good sweet tea.

I went today around 3pm and bought a smothered pork chop plate with Mac n cheese, corn, and rice. The pork chop was good and tender. The Mac n cheese was sub par due to it being overcooked and mushy and flavorless. Also felt the amount of food was inadequate for the price of almost $12. I also asked for extra pork chop and it was $5 extra. No thanks but other than that customer service was nice and friendly.

The Barbecue ribs And mac & cheese is absolutely the most delicious in town hands down. There mac & cheese however needs a lot of grooming. I am giving a rating of 3 due to the fact that this restaurant is ALWAYS CLOSED! It seems as if they are only opened about 3 days out of a week. I stopped going to the restaurant due to constantly being disappointed with them being closed. I can’t take a business serious that store hours are inconsistent

11/10/21: I’m so sorry to say that I will no longer patron at this establishment anymore. I went there today and got a smothered pork chop plate and a slice of cake for my husband and my total was almost $16.00. The problem I have with that is they only gave me ONE pork chop which is a total rip-off for the price I paid and they usually give two pork chop like at Michigan Ave && Mary’s. Rather than arguing about the fact, I just won’t spend any money with them again. I’ve been trying to spend money at Black owned businesses more during this pandemic but this one has lost a customer!

My first time at the new location but ate got food to go from old location. Seemed like smaller place but food was just as good and prices were good. Service was fast and friendly. I went with my boss while were out running an errand. We both got about the same thing. We both ended up full with food we took home with us. Good home-cooked food with large portions at a fair price.

The Seafood Gumbo is the best. Is only served on Fridays, 11am. We stop there when in Mobile. We purchase several quarts and freeze. We live in Evergreen, Alabama.
