This A&W is phenomenal! Amazing prices, retro style dining area, and the kids working there are professional and very friendly. They make everything to order and make sure you’re happy. They also have the BEST chili cheese dogs around. If you find yourself around Clay City, this would definitely be a place to stop. The only thing that stinks is that it is open seasonally.

The restaurant was very dirty and the service was just okay. There was a very uneasy atmosphere due to the long stretches of silence inbetween songs and it was an all around unpleasant experience. The root beer floats are good but definitely not the best, and certainly not worth the drive to clay city /:

Has to be in the top 5 worse places I have attempted to eat at. We ordered against better judgement do to the conditions of the bldg. We waited 40 minutes to no receive any food but to get flat drinks after waiting 5 more minutes with no A/C we got our money back and went to another place to eat. Don’t even stop at this restaurant you have been warned!!

This is a “has been” A&W! Has several surviving elements that show it was once a nice place: the jukebox, nostalgic pics, etc. But NOW….it is dirty, service is poor, workers are sloppy and ill uniformed, and everything was just DIRTY! …Oh, did i already say that?? 🙂
