I recently had the opportunity to dine at Aunt Chilada’s, and while the food left a positive impression, the service fell short of my expectations. Here’s a detailed review of my experience.

Located near lots of hotels and the park on the circle near what I am told is the main Hilton head beach. My wife and I came here before and we really enjoy the outside bar area. To be honest, I’ve never been inside, but why would I when the purpose of visiting the beach is being outside. The drinks were great and my wife enjoyed the grandma Julio. I started eating before the pictures, but you can see it was delicious.

Super friendly staff! We showed up late but the waitress asked the kitchen if it would be ok to take one last order…they graciously did. The service was great treated us well even though we kept them longer. Even the manager came out to talk with us. The food was fabulous. Definitely recommend.

This place has gone down hill! I ordered the chicken fajitas for $32 astonishing dollars. The chicken was frozen dry and unseasoned. Came with plain brown rice, bagged cheese and lettuce and likely canned beans. The salsa (pace) comes at an additional cost on top of the already ridiculous prices. Worst meal I have had in Hilton Head. They are preying on tourists who don’t know better.

Everything I’ve had in Hilton Head has been overpriced mediocrity. The bone marrow tacos at Aunt Chiladas is by far the best meal I’ve had on my trip. The depth of flavor is exactly what I’d expect at that price point. A must visit for your trip.

We come here every year for fish/shrimp tacos! Right away, I knew the menu looked different based on desserts and was told new management completely changed the menu. We played it as if we were trying a new restaurant! Choices of entrees were limited, so we got the tacos and couldn’t eat more than two bites of each. We got a second order of the coconut shrimp appetizer and another round of alcohol to enjoy the live music. Told the waitress to inform the new management the menu needs to be adjusted back because unfortunately we won’t waste our time coming back. ☹️

My family frequents the island every year. We always make Aunt Chiladas our first stop… Sadly this year it was not at all as it had been, the prices were insane and the food was not at all what it used to be. They only allowed for the Happy Hour at the bar (if you have kids on vacation this is not achievable)… I don’t know who the new owners are but you all went backwards. The only bright spot was the waitress. Needless to say we went to San Miguel’s a few days later, they cost less and food was way better!!

Not great. They mixed up our order twice . The paella isn’t paella it’s just shrimp and rice. Taco’s aren’t great. Queso was cold. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for authentic Mexican.

Best place we’ve been in Hilton Head, hands down. Jimmy and Warren were amazing with recommendations and service. The food was fantastic and the drinks were exactly what we were looking for. The live music was perfect for the atmosphere. We came for dinner and ended up staying till close because we liked it so much. Great place, make sure it’s on your list!
