Service was great! This place is in a really cute lil shopping plaza and I’d love to go back. My friend and I ordered a feast for brunch after a nearby long hike with mimosas of course . The food was good, you won’t be disappointed. But I guess I’ll say the collard greens needed a lil bit more seasoning.

I’m a long time customer for YEARS but they lost my business today. This is the 2nd time I’ve had a bad customer experience. First off I waited 30min and they were NOT even busy. People who came in after me had ordered and left before I got mine. 2nd I got less food but yet prices are higher. I usually get a pork chop and half or even 2 with the meal but today they gave me 1 little pork chop and it was mostly all bone. When I pointed it out the hostess went to talk to who was in charge and the guy said no I would have to pay for a 2nd one since I got smothered pork chops and not fried pork chops. So because I didn’t order them fried they only gave me one. What kind of since does that make? Look at the pic it’s hardly smothered and they gave barely any rice. Again I’ve been eating the same meal for OVER 7years here I know what I’m talking about and this is not how it used to be. I hardly had any gravy so I asked for more but I don’t know what it really was that they gave me on the side. It looked like Oil/grease not gravy!!!! Yuck Please see pic. Also the last time I was here I had a coupon for a buy one get one meal so I brought a friend. I showed the coupon and we ordered then the waitress said we couldn’t use it because we got different sides. Excuse me so the fact that we didn’t get identical sides they wouldn’t honor it. It said nothing about identical sides just a buy one get one for fried chicken. Look at my sad looking pork chop that was not worth 18.18!! The least they could have done was fix a nice plate after having me wait 30min.

Keep driving. Do Not Stop. What a waste of $54.00. So I stopped by on Sunday for dinner takeout and didn’t check my bag before leaving the establishment. The person who was taking my order never made eye contact with me. she kept looking down at her cell phone. moving forward when I do get my order and drive home only to discover that they left the rice off the order with the blackened salmon, the collard greens were salty, The mac & cheese was horrible, The cornbread was dry and brittle, the dressing was just plain weird and my oxtails was COLD drowned in bland gravy.

I try hard to be diligent in supporting Black owned businesses, but lately It’s been hard. The last 6-7 months I visited April’s Bistro, the cook has gotten extremely heavy handed with the salt and it’s difficult to enjoy food when you taste only SALT! The food would be much better if the cook lightens up off the salt. I noticed a big change last year Feb 22 when my nephew passed away, we gathered after the funeral and ate at Aprils. When we got back to the house everyone complained about the level of salt in the food. Today, I visited for the last time 8/6/23 because the dressing and gravy was so salty I can’t even eat. Nice atmosphere friendly greetings but my health is worth than another visit. Take two BP pills if you plan to eat at this place. If the owner doesn’t see this is a problem for customers, she doesn’t care.

The food is Amazing, as If Grandma Cooked it. Everything I have ordered has been cooked to perfection. The fried chicken, collards, Mac and cheese, red snapper fried and baked on Saturday and Sundays, to the fish and grits is off the chain. We eat here at least 2 to 3 times a week.

Omg the customer service is really nice. An the atmosphere is very calm an enjoyable. Love The choice of R&B music playing. I ordered the 2 smothered turkey wings with rice. Candy yams, Mac cheese and collard greens. For dessert I ordered peach cobbler. I really enjoyed the food. And the service. Will be coming back. And highly recommend!!!!

Nyla provided us with Amazing service! We had a range of menu items, French toast, pork chops, salmon croquettes, and fried catfish. Most of the items had grits and eggs. All of our food was served HOT!!

For the amount of time it took in the price it cost I would’ve expected something better. I ordered cube steak and gravy and got nothing but some cube steaks and it’s dry. And my son’s chicken was still bleeding!! I contacted the manager this morning and she apologized and said she would rectify the situation and call me back— needless to say she still hasn’t returned the call! Stay far away from this place!!!!!

Excellent Food!!! Excellent Service. This is by far the best Southern/Soul Food Restaurant since moving to ATL 3-years ago. The dishes have extraordinary flavor, but not too heavy on the starches or Greasy. Since I arrived for Dinner before 6:00 pm, I actually ordered 3-different Appetizers and a full entre. The Price for all of this excess was so embarrassingly low that I doubled up on the Gratuity…Their Service and courtesy was excellent anyway, so again well worth the exceptional value.
