A friend and I made a last minute decision to have dinner here on a Saturday night. I lucked up on a park directly across the street and my friend found one a block away, so that was a great start! The restaurant is super cute on the outside and definitely had a Nola feel to it. I didn’t want a cocktail so requested a lemonade. My goodness…it was the most delicious lemonade ever! We received complimentary rolls and garlic butter. Eh, the rolls were just eh and the butter too garlicky. We split the appetizer special which was a baked Brie with crab and a bunch of other stuff. It sounded amazing when the server explained it, but it didn’t taste like it sounded. It was also priced too high for the size of the dish. The menu was limited and I ordered the shrimp and grits. It was surprisingly good and uniquely done. Again, I thought that the serving was too small. Although the ambience and service was nice overall, nothing made me want to say that I would return.

I had very high hopes for this place. We’ve heard lots of good things about it and we wanted to take advantage of Coolinary. Their menu choices looked fantastic. But we were underwhelmed. The service was really terrible with delays the entire night. Crawfish bisque was very good but the fried green tomatoes were under seasoned and the fish was over seasoned. Overall the meal was just meh

What an outstanding dinner! Everything from the atmosphere to the service. The seafood was delectable, the salad was amazing, and the lamb was out of this world. Don’t forget to ask about some wine! The bottle we received was not only affordable but delicious. Make sure to ask for Haley, her service was amazing! Can’t wait to come back again!

Arrived at 8 pm on a Saturday and there was only one other table present, which should have been a sign. Waiter Jonathan was pleasant but appeared to be new to the industry. He admitted his wine knowledge was lacking and I found him to be a bit inattentive, especially considering I was his only customer. I started with the crawfish bisque, which was flavorful with a bit of kick to it. A runner (?) brought the soup and didn’t wait long enough to inquire if I would like anything else, such as a glass of wine. On Jonathan’s recommendation, I ordered the veal medallions with an artichoke and shrimp sauce. The veal had to be frozen breaded cutlets from the food distributor. It was on par with what you would expect from a cafeteria. The breading was heavy and the slices of veal were tough and gray colored. It was served over a couple broccoli spears. Jonathan asked how the dinner was and I replied ‘ok’. He didn’t press the response, nor did he seem surprised when he removed a plate full of thick breading. Needless to say, I didn’t stay for dessert. The restaurant is cute, but I won’t be back. There are too many good eatery’s in nola to spend $100/head.

A small house from outside, but just the right size inside for creating a good atmosphere. I was just by myself (party of 1) and I preferred to be seated at the bar. I experienced awesome service from the bartender, who not only served me with a high quality cocktail, but also took care of my food orders and service. I had the jambalaya dumplings and the pork chop, both were delicious and I can recommend it. The pork chop was juicy and had great seasoning with some nice spices. I enjoyed my visit very much.

Amazing “secret” restaurant. From the outside looked it was closed, and the inside was vibrant. Great atmosphere, delicious food and the service top notch!

This was an excellent experience. The waiter was friendly and on point. The food came out pretty quickly. When the desserts took longer than expected, he treated us to a glass of wine. Unexpected but a very pleasant surprise.

My partner and I had a fantastic time at Apolline for brunch. Luckily it was the game and the restaurant was quiet and with few guests.

I can’t rave about this place enough! I’ve been here not only for brunch (bottomless mimosas) but also for dinner and this place never disappoints. The dinner was amazing with the lamb sliders, fried green tomatoes for appetizers, and my date had shrimp and grits. I’m not a huge shrimp fan since it can be rubbery at times when it comes to texture but Apolline over exceeds my expectations when it comes to that particular ingredient! Today we had brunch that consisted of shrimp and grits of course but also the candied bacon as the appetizer (which I desperately need the recipe for) as well as the pork enchiladas. Keep in mind this place does not specialize in Mexican food but those enchiladas were the best I have ever tasted hands down. All in all the service and the food was amazing! I’ll keep coming back here no matter what!
