This was my first soul food experience and to put it quite honestly I was very disappointed. The collard greens were disgusting, it was something I wouldn’t even feed to my dog. The food was dry, especially the cornbread which had no corn in it. Sadly I don’t recommend this place at all. I went with high anticipation and excitement to be let down like this. The only nice thing about this place is the murals on the wall.

Slowly driving by heading home during rush hour, I noticed lots of carry out. Came in to have lunch and the atmosphere and food were great! Fried chicken, baked chicken, and ribs was what we enjoyed. Sides were collard greens, okra, green beans, corn, rice and corn bread.

I came here with my bestfriend it was her first time trying soul food and it was just not it. We couldn’t even finish our food she had to trow out her ribs because they were so dry the rice was undercooked grainy and hard the collard greens tasted like they were canned but at least the mac and cheese was decent dry but ok. I came here with very high expectations Because i had been seen their instagram for a while but sadly i left unsatisfied wont be coming back.

I told the chef on Saturday that I’m one of those who don’t clean the chicken off the bone when I eat my wings. He fried them up as I requested and I promise: I ate every piece I could get off the bone and chewed the gristle. Excellent place for a valuable meal. Great customer service from a middle schooler and the bathroom was clean! I highly recommend.

I chose this restaurant yesterday because online reviews and pictures price was ok so I’m like might be good ! Nooo!! I was wrong completely wrong ! Ok I ordered a catfish dinner and fried chicken both with white rice yams and Mac &cheese the chicken skin was tough like they fried it in old oil the fish was SO M’Fin SALTY ! The max and cheese Lordt i feel like they cooked that like two days before or something because it was burnt bottom and burnt cheese don’t make sense ! It’s already no good food in homestead like do better !.
