Went for Taco Tuesday, decent sized tacos for $2.50 but atmosphere and service was meh. Definitely better tacos and service on Mill but popped in quick and left quick.

Hard to rate anything but the service as our party of 3 sat for 20 minutes without being acknowledged to order or given menus/water. They were self seating at the time and the sever walked past many time saying I’ll be right with you which did not happen. The entire front patio had one other table seated. Has a good atmosphere but not a good experience for the first time there. Could not recommend this place to others.

It’s tough to give a low rating to a place like this because the staff was great. A lot of factors chip away at this place. The floor is sticky. Not just a little sticky, but you can hear everyone’s shoes sticking to the floor. The house trap music is fine, but from the name and food I was expecting a little more latin house/trap, reggaeton, or anything other than the same music coming from every other place on Mill. I wouldn’t complain about the music, but they charged a 3% “venue fee” on the bill. Our general consensus was that the food was ok, but it’s currently 1 of 5 Texmex places on the street and has little to offer in terms of flare. When I say flare I mean something like spicy, vegetarian options, something a little unique to the food. Clearly there’s a demographic for people that like sticky floor, bland, and top 10 house/trance on repeat, but this happens to be expensive. Can’t recommend.

Anoche Cantina has been one of my favorite places in Tempe ever since I moved here in October. The food/drinks are always made to perfection but the staff is what keeps bringing me back here. Everyone i’ve dealt with is great, but the person who has made the biggest impression has been the bartender Alexis! She is always so personable and friendly, and she consistently provides prompt service and great recommendations. If i owned a restaurant, I’d hire her immediately as she is the epitome of how a bartender can make a restaurant stand out above the rest.

The experience was great besides one thing. I ordered an orange creamsicle drink, and it’s advertised as having whipped cream – my server sold me on that. She brings my drink and there’s no whipped cream. She said the bartender didn’t do it because he’s in a bad mood and it was too much work/takes too long. I was baffled. I was about to get up and talk to the bartender myself but my server stopped me and got my cream because “if anyone is going to get b!tched at, it’s me.” They brought my cream in a cup and I put it on top for myself – took away from the experience. I could not believe it but this is why I stand my ground at restaurants. I’m not scared to get what I ordered! I understand if they’re out of it, but he didn’t feel like it? Lol wow!

Very slow service, for it being Taco Tuesday I feel they should be better staffed. Ordered 4 margaritas they had no alcohol it was all juice. I couldn’t even drink them! Very disappointed. Me and my friend unfortunately will never be returning. Everyone on the left side of the restaurant where you first go in waited about an hour for food and drinks.

I visited for a lovely mother’s day lunch and had fish and chips. We sat on the porch which was very comfortable. The service was excellent. The food was superb. Anoche is definitely on my list of places that I will return to patronize again.

Great night at the opening of Anoche! Vibes and upbeat music on Mill Ave right by ASU Tempe campus. Surprised by the delicious tacos and food! We enjoyed the spicy margarita and Jack Daniel with whiskey, and cranberry.

UPDATE: Here is the response I received from the so-called Manager, Abe Ruiz. Explains why this business services their customers the way they do. A fish usually rots from the head down. Like I said, what a joke!!
