Small family owned restaurant with authentic Mexican food, I ordered an Al Pastor Torta which was good, but I’m sure I would have enjoyed it more if it were asada. Free Chips & Salsa, be sure to try the green salsa, it is sooo good!!

Can’t say much about the workers, but the food is another story. I ordered a tamale dinner (2 chicken tamales, rice and beans). One of the tamales had chicken (soooo dry). The other had cheese and a green pepper inside). I’m lactose intolerant and biting into this was a nightmare. The rice was ok, and the beans were very thin and watery. I also had the Jamaica drink and it was watery as well. You could barely taste the hibiscus. Please do better.

My husband and I get take out from Angel’s on a regular basis. He gets the beef burrito with everything and I get the gorditas with chorizo. We also often get some homemade tamales as sides. They are amazing! My favorite part of Angel’s are the ladies at the checkout. They are always helpful and smiling. It’s a little place with a great family feel.

It’s not fancy but has the best tripa and barbacoa tacos in the Chicagoland area! Their pazole is a must try, so flavorful and the pork is nice and tender, always served piping hot!

We’ve lived near here for a long time but haven’t tried this place until today and it is good! The salsas are amazing and the pastor in the tacos were perfectly charred. The chorizo was really flavorful and not greasy. What a neighborhood gem.
