It’s the last week of weekday skiing. No dinner crowd means prompt and speedier service! There is a bar downstairs called the Snorting Elk Cellars; very dim lighting but is quite crowded. Upstairs is the Alpine Inn Restaurant which has both indoor and outdoor (with a tabletop fireplace) seating, with tables well-spaced apart, and large windows with ample natural lights. We ordered a Ceasar salad, Swiss Mushroom Burger, and a New York Strip. Salad was fresh and crunchy. Burger was juicy and tender. Steak was perfectly (medium) cooked as ordered. Great dinner!

Really great servers and service in general. We visited four times during our trip to the mountain. Dinner was great both times. Breakfast was great on the first day, but the second day (Saturday the 26th) was ruined by the attitude of the hostess. She was really abrasive and throwing out back biting comments under her breath at all the customers. Benefit of the doubt that she was having a bad day, but she definitely turned us off that restaurant for the rest of our trip. What a shame, because the rest of the staff was exemplary.

Quantity over quality, but when you’re hungry, you settle. Fresh baked cookies that “just came out of the oven” were cold. Full size nachos on a giant pizza pan was overly cooked on top with dried out chicken, but cold in the middle — think cold shredded cheese.

After taking the gondola we decided to eat at the Alpine Inn. Waiter wouldnt talk to me and only responded and looked at my husband. Food was pretty good and view was wonderful. It was pricey but being that it is the only restaurant in area they can do that. However when we come back we will not be eating there again.

We were not offered options as to what came with our sandwiches. We all received old and stale potato chips. Waiter spilled beer all over my seat. He wiped the table with my napikin and never brought me a new one when i asked. The second beer he brought was also shaken. Lettuce had brown edges and was old. Tea was the size of corrado coffee… avoid at all cost unless you like to overpay for bad and old food and horrible service.
