Aloha Restaurant is an interesting Chinese restaurant that dresses up as a Polynesian place. But its a really nice Chinese place that has seafood and some Hawaiin mixed in. I have to say it isn’t Polynesian but they have alot more Seafood and interesting combinations that will make me go back and try again.

Amazing food. Pretty sure it’s the best chinese food I’ve ever had. Very personable employees. Very friendly. Helpings are more that you could eat. Again amazing food. A little more expensive that other places but beyond worth it. Will be going back often.

It had been 21 years since I had been there. Same comfortable atmosphere, same great mixed drinks (recommend the double vision). Great Asian cuisine.

Great food, love the decor it’s like steeping into the 1980’s!

Overpriced, and wasn’t worth $50 for two meals w/ 1 appetizer and 1 drink. They must charge for refills because the cost was outrageous. I’ll never be back. The cheese wontons weren’t good. They use thigh meat in the chicken plates, which I don’t like either. The sauces weren’t anything like I’ve had at other places. The only thing good I can say is the decor inside was cute and the staff was nice.

I received a call from my Cousin with some horrific news!!! He told me Aloha will be closing their doors this month. I couldn’t believe my ears, I couldn’t believe the lies coming out of his mouth. Is this true? The sad truth, it is very true. I heard this and dropped to my knees holding my chest and gasping for air in disbelief and reaching my hands to the sky and praying for forgiveness, because I moved away and didn’t even get to say goodbye to an old friend. My emotions are all over the place right now. I’m confused, I’m hurt, empty inside, and feel like I cannot carry on. You guys were the hidden gem of Decatur. You were definitely top tier in customer service, cleanliness, and serving up that delicious pineapple chicken. You jump I jump, right? I wish you guys all the best in your new endeavors. I’m not saying you have to, but if you want, please email me for my address to send over recipe cards and samples. Until next time, my dear friends.

Homemade food cooked fresh when you order it – the owner, Susan knows her customers well and is very accommodating with ingredient changes or substitutions to make sure you are happy with your dinner! All the staff have been here for ages and do what they do well. A Decatur staple.

Girlfriend as well as two other people at the table ordered the pepper chicken. It was essentially slimey chicken with onions, green peppers and black pepper on top. When telling the waitress they weren’t happy with their food, she said they should have asked more questions and that it was their fault and threw a fortune cookie at my girlfriend. She refused to replace the food, but later came back and offered to take 3 dollars off a 13.95 meal which was taken home to feed a dog.

Took my girlfriend here. She likes Chinese, usually I don’t. This place we’ll be back to though. Very friendly server, atmosphere was relaxing, and even I liked the food! Started with potstickers, then split the Aloha Bowl and it was plenty for both of us. It was a great evening.

Easily one of my favorite places in town. The chef since the 80’s and his wife took over ownership and running the place almost 20 years ago and have kept it consistent. The food is always the same and wonderful. You want the best chicken wings in town? Try theirs!
