We LOVE going to Alberts for dinner. The food is delicious including the pizza, pasta, and specials. They have a nice little outdoor space that is well kept. The service is outstanding, they are friendly and attentive. We absolutely love their desserts. The coconut cake is unique and the best around— we sometimes even just get it for take out. I highly recommend going here!

Nothing like curb side dining in a quaint village on a warm summer day … Love to people watch while sipping your favorite beverage with a delicious meal, this is it! Enjoyed a lovely salmon salad, perfectly cooked followed by key lime pie to brighten up the senses. Try it!

Some friends took us here and we were pleasantly surprised. Had a great meal the short ribs were amazing as were the deserts. Our server was very warm and attentive and even recognized us from another place she used to work. Looking forward to returning soon, big bonus that you can bring your own wine and beer.

We had been here at least 8 times in 3 months bringing different friends with us each time. The food is amazing. It was our favorite “go to”..until one night we were sitting at our table with yet another friend that we wanted to bring and the owner came up to us and said he needed the table because they were so busy. We were still drinking our cappuccino and eating our dessert when this happened. We were so embarrassed. So we just got up and left. We were shocked. It wasn’t like we were sitting there for hours. We were still eating! I haven’t been back since and won’t go again. I found that extremely rude especially since we went there so often. Bad practice to treat returning customers like that.

New name – same owner. Used to come here all the time with my girlfriends. We loved the international flair and fresh ingredients! We were all foodies! Has not changed but menu is more interesting and extensive. Beautifully managed it seems. Great sophisticated ambiance and fresh homemade wonderful food! A gem! Bring your friends sit outside and enjoy life! The white tablecloth service is upscale and attentive ! Loved the lunch we had last week! Can’t wait to return on our next trip back to the northeast.

I’m from the Philly,Pa, area, and evertime my Wife & I take the 2.5 hour drive up to Ho-Hokus, it’s such a treat. Especially when Albert’s has some kind of seafood on the menu, it’s a complete joy! So all of the bad reviews I am reading is absolute hogeash….The ambiance is 5-star, you always receive stellar service, from the owner, the hostess, the servers, and down to the porters. Let me add, that the desserts are to die for. So if you never tried Albert’s Cafê Amicì, it’s an absolute must! If you have any special requests, Albert will accommodate. So if you want a nice Italian atmosphere, Albert’s Cafe Amicì Ho-Hokus, NJ is the place to check out…

I am writing for my husband and for me. I’ll give it a “1” because it’s a cute place. Other than that, I would never go back there. We have wanted to try it for a long time, because the menu looked similar to The Plum and the Pear that my friend owned, but it was very disappointing. First, clearly they could not find our reservation. then in an empty restaurant they wanted to put us at the front door (it was 5:00). Although they put us somewhere else, the table wobbled and only when the waiter saw my husband attempting to place something under the leg did he come over to help, and we had to ask him to come back there more times. There wasn’t a stitch of bread or anything else on n the table either before or during the meal???? Absolutely nothing on the table for someone to much on prior to the meal AT THOSE PRICES????? Seriously? The portions are ridiculously small. When my husband’s dinner arrived, we both said “where’s the rest of it?”. It was clear there was something missing from the plate. No one ever came to our table to ask if we wanted fresh pepper or salt — I had to ask for it. My Chicken Milanese was like a piece of old shoe leather — it was as hard as a rock — badly prepared. If you dropped it on the floor, it would have cracked into pieces. I was starving so I ate it, but it was just a dried out piece of chicken with a little — and I emphasize “little” bit of arugula on top. Nice location but you couldn’t drag me back. Nice wrapping and decently presented food, but definitely not worth the price or the experience.
