The customer service is amazing and the food come out pretty quick. All the rolls were very tasty and delicious. There were 2 problems, the sodas were all flat and the hot and sour soup was bland. I expect more when this is a higher end restaurant.

Delicious, authentic food with wonderful service. We were seated in a booth of our choice and given attention despite it being rather well attended. The food and beverages were delicious. I would highly regiments if you visit the Belmont area to come to Akahana.

We stopped off of I-40 in Belmont looking for lunch and found the Akahana just a short distance away. It is on the other side of the interstate from Belmont Abby and college. If you have time, stop by there too.

Wow! Really impressed from start to finish with the great service and the delicious food! The Hamachi Jalapeño is a MUST for an appetizer. We also go the Jalapeño Bomber, the California roll and the Wasabi roll.

Delightful! Before we walked in, our waitress was already preparing for us. She greeted us cheerfully as we walked in and promptly escorted us to our table. She was attentive throughout our stay and didn’t rush us through our meal. The food was excellent–flavorful and plentiful. If you’re in Belmont, stop and give Akahana a try!

THEY ARE PHO KING AMAZING! I have been a few times, I have had a few things from different parts of the menu and everything has been amazing. (GET THE PHO) So my first visit first plate was the calamari….insane, I was hunting the garlicy covered onion bits after was finished they were so good. The sushi, I moved up here from a more coastal place and was worried about the freshness/quality of the raw fish I was quickly put at easy from the first bite. The ambiance is nice, the staff is nice and management is friendly. If you have questions about cuisine from that part of the world chat up the GM she will not steer you wrong. GET THE PHO!

My wife and I have been to this Akahana location several times because of the good service, kind staff, and the food has been solid. However, this time around all of our rolls were served to us warm.. We ordered our usual spicy tuna and the Thangy roll; both were warm and I decided to chalk it up to fresh rice being used for the roll and didn’t say anything to the server. Turns out that it was temperature of the food and I shouldn’t have ignored the fact. As a result my wife and I regurgitated the food when we made it home. Sushi with uncooked fish should be served cold, so just wanted to give a heads up on that going forward. We’ve never had it like this the previous 5 times we’ve done here before.

Well, my mission to find the Perfect sushi is not over yet, I have some places that I can say they have good sushi but the one that will give me the “aha” moment has not been found yet. But running errands last Friday and came across this place so went back on Saturday to give it a try. Let’s break down the 4 stars! Customer service: 5 stars actually, the host was nice and attentive, so was the waitress. Ambiance: is a good place for any time, even for a second or third date. Wait: fair, didn’t wait long. Price: reasonable. Food: ok here is my problem, whenever I order a deep fried roll the tempura is different, it doesn’t bring me any joy! It even gives the rolls an ugly look. I had one appetizer, fried cauliflower and it was different and very good. Drink: I am a true martini lover so I ordered the Ginger pear martini and I drank it all but I was not impressed at all! It was like a glass of concentrated pear juice/puree, too thick to be a drink, no taste of ginger and lots of alcohol. I was expecting a more fluid, liquid drink. The presentation had no effort but the glass was nice. Sushi rolls- ordered two, I liked the Ocarina, and flavor was very good but could be great. I am very visual, it looked nice, but a beautiful roll always make me want more! It was acceptable but for the price, maybe a bigger roll is a good idea. The second roll was the Earthquake and it was a waste of my money, ate it anyways, I was hungry and was paying for it! Will I try other rolls? Nah, will I go back? Nah, I will continue on my mission to find the sushi roll with the CA “wao” factor. I was so spoiled with so many great sushi places there but NC is my forever home so I am not giving up ♀️ ♀️.

Food was horrible. They did not mark anything off. My husband ate a couple bites. I ate a little of my salmon. It was so over cooked. My husband ordered a beer. It wasn’t what he thought it was and he did not drink it. They said they still had to charge of . The sushi was really good but the main dishes were not. We.paid 95.00 for something we could not eat. Will never be back and will be letting everyone one know.
