Social Profile:

Welcoming you to our restaurant is like welcoming a guest to our home. We look forward to providing you freshly-prepared Ethiopian cuisine—and extending our hospitality in a comfortable and warm restaurant environment. In the Amharic language, Adey Abeba means “Young Flower.” In 2005, Adey Abeba was the “young flower” of Seattle’s Ethiopian Restaurants—opening for business in an inviting and beautifully remodeled Victorian. Though the Young Flower of Seattle is approaching two decades old, Adey Abeba feels as fresh as the day it opened. This family-owned business is unmistakenly one of the most atmospheric Ethiopian dining experiences in the city.

Veggie options & meat stews served in a quaint, art-filled setup with traditional coffee ceremonies.

Went here for dinner with friends! Really loved the food! We tried the veggie combo – the miser wot was yummy! My companions liked their chicken dish (I don’t remember its name though )

I loved the food! I went there with my friend for dinner and wanted to try some Ethiopian food and we ordered a meat combo. The food was nice, tasty and definitely more than enough for both of us. We had leftovers. The restaurant is run by a lovely family and the food feels homely so I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a lowkey homely Ethiopian food.

Out of all the Ethiopian restaurants we’ve tried in Seattle, this place is our favorite. The meat combo easily feeds three hungry people and is a great mix of fresh and cooked veggies, spice-filled sauces, and delicious chicken, beef, and lamb.

Love this spot! First night living in Seattle I ate here with a friend. We sat and talked for hours while snacking on the massive plate we ordered together. We drank every single type of beer they offered (none of which I had ever seen or tried before) and left full, tipsy and happy. One of my favorite spots in town for a long dinner with friends. My advice is to share plates, too much good food to not try everything

The service was great, food was absolutely delicious we got the vegetable combo and one smal plate of meat it fed both of my daughters and I. The cook’s energy was super kind. The atmosphere was clean but seemed very old and outdated. Would we go again? Definitely looking foward to it.

We always order the veggie combo at Ethiopian restaurants. This one had the most variety of items in the combo we have seen yet. The flavor was really fresh and did not feel greasy. Generous portion size. Wonderful staff.

Incredible Ethiopian food at unbeatable prices. The vegetarian combo fed two hungry people for $20. The service is good and fast. It was pretty quiet when we visited. The restaurant is clean and has lovely decorations. There is street parking in the neighborhood nearby. A hole in the wall gem! We will be coming back.

Some of the best food in town, eaten without utensils so wash your hands! Two hungry people failed to finish one order of the Meat Combo (which did include veggie stuff too) so be careful not to order too much. I will be back again!
