Got the smothered pork chop and the fried chicken. Both were excellent. The fried chicken was succulent with a light coating, which we prefer to what we usually get when getting fried chicken at other places. Good choices of tasty sides, too. Reasonably priced.

Must try! The food was not only authentic to taste but also made from scratch and all the love. We came as a school tour group and they opened their doors to us on their day off. Chef Taylor and Chef Curtis, an amazing duo honoring the Gullah culture, people, and their loved ones. It was an honor to be welcomed into their restaurant and I will be forever grateful for their hospitality, kindness, and amazing food!

This place is truly a hidden gem and definitely a local spot. This food is sooo good I almost bit my finger off while eating lol!!! I highly recommend this spot. I got the fried fish meal with red rice cabbage and macaroni.. my husband got the shrimp meal with corn and cabbage. I liked the fish better than the shrimp, the fish was soft but crispy and loaded with flavor!!! Come support this black owned business. You won’t be disappointed I promise!!!

Googled and found this place…food made to order…husband wife team…absolutely delightful!!! A staple on Martin Luther king…a bit spicy but worth it!!! Fried fish, butter beans with green beans w/ red rice..and corn bread with wonderful tea….my hubby had smothered pork chops with rice Mac n cheese n okra n tomatoes…A MUST to dine in or carry out!!!if you are looking for southern cooking, yes this is it!
