If you haven’t been to this place yet, the only thing I can tell you is you’re missing the boat. The pizza is 10/10 every time we go. The Ceasar Salad is unmatched, and the bread pane with honey and ricotta will put you in Euphoria!!! Matt, Amy, and the staff are next level pros. We can’t say enough great things about 1929. Thank you again for another great meal tonight.

A nice place for a date night! The inside is pretty nice and the food seemed to be VERY fresh, it was a nice change. The bread was 10/10 but to someone on the pickier side, the butters were just okay. I believe the butters were sea salt, bacon and chive and then orange with some sort of nut and to me the orange was by far the best! We got two pizzas as they said the pizzas were on the smaller side. The potato pizza was definitely different but super yummy! Wine seemed about to be average of wine at a restaurant. The waitress was super nice! I would definitely go without the cannoli next time. Minus a star for slightly over the top prices and weird days/hours.

1929 opened with instant popularity. The owner is great and very personable on Instagram and has built a great following. Which means they fill-up their tables fast and you’ll most likely have to wait, if you do not get there early.

Great, tastefully restored space in historic building. Fabulous wood fired oven pizza. Terrific starters and salads and a nice selection of wines. You should definitely check it out. Only open three nights a week and very popular. Make a reservation!

Very good visit. The ceaser salad is a little different but outstanding. Can’t wait to have it again. First bite of the pizza, and I wish we had ordered a bottle of wine. It is that good. They have some very good wine choices. We had cherry cannoli for dessert. This is not your cheap pizza place, but it’s a great place for a great dinner. I am looking forward to our next visit. Thanks for setting up shop in WoodRiver.

Our first time, but definitely not our last! Matt and his entire staff were friendly and professional. Not to mention, THE best pizza we have enjoyed in a long, long time. We had a beautiful bottle of Italian wine, as well as delicious appetizersand a delicious Cannoli for dessert. We loved the laid back, upscale atmosphere.

This place is cool, modern, and fantastic. Food is phenomenal. I don’t eat meat and their menu had many options. Wine selection is beyond expectations. I also had an Italian beer that was fabulous.

OMG I can’t say enough about this place and the owners! Their Caesar salad is one of the best I ever had…and I get them a lot. The bread and pizza dough are fabulous. The owner husband is a master baker!! Anna the wife owner is a fantastic chef. Their pizza special was amazing. Fresh ricotta. I corks go on and on. They were so busy but they took the time to talk with my 87 year old mother. Oh yeah, they have pretty great wine cellar as well. Don’t miss this!!

We had a great time at 1929 Pizza and Wine! The pizza was amazing, the dough was light and airy with a delicious taste and texture. The toppings were all fresh and premium grade. My wife and I had the pepperoni pizza which was simply delicious! The service was perfect, they came by regularly, we were never over crowded by plates on the table and every member of the staff was warm and welcoming! This is a great place for a date! Split a pizza and a salad and enjoy a glass of wine paired perfectly with your selection! We will definitely be back time and time again!
