We had two pleasant meals in the same restaurant during our stay in Hallstatt simply because of two reasons – good quality authentic Austrian cuisine and unbelievably warmth received from owner and crew!
We had a short chat with ma’am who is probably the lead for servicing team. She is hospitable, friendly and carrying a bright smile on her face all the time, how amazing!
Four of us tried eight different main courses from the menu, the verdict – all were good and we couldn’t help to shout out loud to the ma’am – Super Lecker!
And I must say this is the thus far best restaurant we ever encountered since the start of our Europe trip from 1.5 weeks ago!
I like the way they managing the crowd and Q too! Thumb up to the owner and crew! We will surely come back one day.

Had a wonderful time in this little restaurant in Hallstatt!
The staff were super nice and friendly, always smiling and happy to help!
The food was very tasty, i had both a main dish and a piece of cake for dessert. Everyone else’s meals seemed delicious too honestly.
A bit sad that there’s not outdoor seating, but maybe that was just cause it’s winter, i don’t know.
Expect a little wait before you get seated.
Overall great experience, i would recommend. 🙂

We visited on Sunday for dinner and only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The owner greeted us warmly and was very friendly.
We ordered the following dishes:
• “Badergraben Pan” (€23.50)
Pork fillet in a creamy sauce with bacon, onions, mushrooms, and potato croquettes.
My husband really enjoyed this dish.
• “Farmas Pan” (€22.90)
Roast pork, smoked meat, coleslaw, and dumplings.
The smoked meat and roast pork were both delicious, and the sides paired perfectly.
Overall, great value for the money.
We had planned to try dessert, but we were simply too full!

A really charming Austrian restaurant. It feels authentic and fairly priced. We tried the “Dumpling Pan” (Knodlpfand) and it was absolutely amazing. The restaurant itself is modern, clean, and very well maintained. The staff are friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better. It’s a rather small place, so there can be a line outside, but guests move through quite quickly, and it’s definitely worth the short wait. A other plus – they accept card payments over €20.

Their squash soup and chicken fillet with mushroom is the best I have ever tasted in my entire trip within Austria! The service is also top notch! We had to leave a good tip 🙂

Lovely traditional Austrian restaurant with a warm and authentic atmosphere. The food is delicious and prepared with great attention to detail. Wish they would update their opening hours which on google says they are closed by 5pm when they are opened for evening dinner as well. Decor was simple. Had the fried char fillet with potatoes. Dessert was blueberry mascapone corner. Both were nice although the fish portion is actually small compared to all their other dishes. The only reason it doesn’t appear so in photos is because it was quite thin and flat. Would drop by again to try their other dishes.

Excellent restaurant and dining experience. We were seated and waited on immediately. The food was absolutely delicious and exactly what we were expecting to get after reading several great reviews. I highly recommend this restaurant when considering places to eat in town. Owner was extremely friendly and clearly takes pride in their restaurant. The kitchen staffs experience was also evident by the overall quality of the food.
