When we first walked in, we were warmly greeted by the woman behind the counter. She brought us menus and water right away. The dining area had a laid-back, almost country-western vibe, like it may have once been a saloon once, but it was clean and inviting.
The menu featured all the classic Ethiopian dishes we’re familiar with, and we were eager to dig in. We started with the appetizers: Sambusas and fully cooked Kitfo wraps. For our entrees, we ordered the Doro Wat and the Vegetable Sampler. Everything was fresh and delicious.
My youngest son loved the Sambusas so much that he ordered a second order just for himself! The Kitfo wraps were also tasty and the meat was well seasoned and flavorful. The vegetable sampler was full of flavor and not overly oily, which we appreciated. The Doro Wat was solid as well.
Overall, we had a great experience and would come back to try out a few of their other dishes.
-Ye-Beg Wot (Lamb Stew) had an excessive amount of oil. Poured off a lot and it was still too oily. Made my family feel bad.
-Veggie platter was just okay.
All in all the selling point is the wonderful lovely prepared food! More people should try and eat Ethiopian! It was a great price point to regarding the location and surrounding area!
we got the tour of Ethiopia with excellent suggestions from our server. ours had doro wot, ye-beg wot, we-awaze tibs, the veggie combo and something else i am unfortunately forgetting. all with their delicious injira
Will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu
The sambusas were delicious but I think the tomato fit fit was my favorite between the two. I don’t know, it was just soooo flavorful. I mean I’ve had tomato salads before but man it was jist on another level.
I had the special beef tibs. The meat was kinda tough but the flavors were still delicious I couldn’t stop eating it. It also came with two lentil sides that were both great.
Husband had the veggie platter and he loved it. He said he had no idea what each item was but they were so well seasoned. We both ate in silence occasionally uttering sounds of approval.
The meal came with injera which you could request more of if you ran out. Had it been earlier in the day we would’ve ordered one of their coffee drinks because they seemed to have a decent assortment so we decided next time we would come earlier to be able to enjoy these.
We plan on coming back soon to try more of their menu!
