Zibu Allende is a truly special place with a wonderful atmosphere. The flavors of the food are absolutely incredible, and the dishes are so well-prepared. The service is also impeccable and incredibly friendly, making every visit a pleasure. It’s a fantastic choice for a memorable meal.

While the restaurant is gorgeous, it seems they have put all their effort into the atmosphere rather than the food. I really wanted to love this place, but felt it fell short of its promise.
We were intrigued by their claim to be a Thai-Mexican inspired menu, however when we asked our waiter to recommend such dishes, he easily pointed out the Pad Thai, but other than the fact that the tuna avocado roll with watermelon visually had the look of a sushi roll (which would be Japanese) he didn’t appear to be very well informed about the menu. (The roll, by the way, was very nicely prepared and refreshingly delicious.)
There were a smattering of other dishes with “Asian” ingredients in the description, but overall, the menu didn’t have much evidence of a Thai influence.
The soft shell crab tacos were nicely executed, and the red snapper with risotto was delicious. We ordered the second fish dish, which had a beautiful presentation of vegetables, but was unfortunately ruined with dry, overcooked fish and lackluster sauce. The manager kindly apologized for the error and took care of it in the end.
We finished the meal with the Pavlova and berries – crunchy, creamy and lovely.

I had my birthday dinner here on my first trip to San Miguel de Allende and they made the night very special. The service was great, food was excellent, and while we came here on a weeknight so it was a bit quiet, the staff (especially our server Celestine) did everything they could to make a really festive evening (including great outdoor heaters since we wanted to sit outside but it was a bit chilly). It’s a bit off the beaten path from the main part of town but was in a really nice neighborhood.

We made a reservation for lunch and were able to stop by after walking back from the botanical garden and it was a great choice location wise as it was on our way back into town. The restaurant is part of a very chic gorgeous hotel, we were able to sit outside since the temperature was just perfect. The staff was very kind and attentive. The food was delicious!! I’m not usually a salad person, but the octopus salad really turned it out for me! So Good!! The menu if a Mexican Thai fusion for which they really did find the right balance for. It’s a tiny bit expensive in comparison to other stops, but you’re paying for the atmosphere and overall experience.

We had a lovely meal at Zibu of tacos (2 different kinds) and dessert. The margarita was outstanding! The service was exceptional and attentive. The night we went was slow so the atmosphere had little to desire but we also went in the middle of the week which probably contributed to the lack of “vibe”. The location is in an upscale hotel and a nice 15 minute walk to the city center. We would go again.

This was our first time at Zibu and, despite the reviews, it was disappointing. We usually dine at 1886 at the Rosewood when visiting San Miguel de Allende, and this did not compare.

Service was decent.

The chicken, filet, and bone marrow were good, but everything else was mediocre. Our biggest issue was our steak — we ordered it medium and it arrived medium-well. When we pointed this out, the server took it back and returned with the same steak, insisting that part of it was medium as if we should be satisfied and keep it.

For the price, this experience was not worth it. Skip Zibu and go to the Rosewood instead.

**An unforgettable experience at Zibu!**
The tasting menu was absolutely exceptional — every dish was beautifully crafted, full of flavor, and perfectly paced. But what truly made the night special was the service. Raul was, without question, the best service we’ve had in all of Mexico. His attention to detail, warmth, and genuine care turned a great dinner into an unforgettable celebration. He made my birthday truly memorable.

Highly recommend Zibu, and if you can, ask for Raul — he elevates the entire experience!

Every dish we ordered was full of complex, yet balanced flavors. The service was impeccable, cordial and attentive. The only area that can improve is the desserts, as the pastry chef failed to deliver cohesion with the adventurous creations.

A Culinary Delight at Zibu in San Miguel De Allende!

My recent visit to Zibu in San Miguel De Allende left me absolutely ecstatic! As a regular patron of the Zibu restaurant chain, I have always admired their exceptional service and mouthwatering cuisine at their Acapulco location. This time, however, I decided to venture out and experience the culinary wonders of Zibu at their Live Aqua Hotel venue in San Miguel De Allende. And let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience!

From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm smiles and a level of service that exceeded my expectations. Pedro, our server for the evening, was an absolute delight. He was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. Pedro’s knowledge of the menu and his recommendations enhanced our dining experience and made us feel truly valued as guests.

Now, let’s talk about the food. Oh my, where do I even begin? Zibu’s menu is a treasure trove of delectable delights that cater to all taste buds. The flavors were exquisite, and each dish was masterfully crafted. Whether you’re a fan of seafood, meat, or vegetarian options, Zibu has something to satisfy every palate. I highly recommend trying their signature dishes like the Chilean sea bass or the grilled rib-eye steak. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

The restaurant’s location within the Live Aqua Hotel only adds to its charm. The interior design is tastefully done, creating an ambiance that is both elegant and inviting. The atmosphere exudes a sense of sophistication while maintaining a relaxed and comfortable vibe. Whether you’re dining with friends, family, or that special someone, Zibu provides the perfect setting for a memorable evening.

In conclusion, Zibu in San Miguel De Allende has truly won my heart. The combination of excellent service, mouthwatering cuisine, and the inviting ambiance makes it a must-visit restaurant in this vibrant city. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, I urge you to indulge in the culinary delights that Zibu has to offer. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
