We stopped at Maxim’s during our visit to Mainz. We decided to take the daily special which included a claasic hamburger, fries and a drink. The price sounded reasonable. I expected a simple hamburger fries and a small drink. What we received was a very well made large hamburger with all the toppings and french fries with a special coated seasoning and a 0.33l drink of our choice. A very tasty meal. We had a very nice and helpful waitress which made our luncheon experience to a very satisfying one. Thank you Maxim,s for making our visit to Mainz just that much better.

Very friendly service from Abdul, we don’t speak German and he was very accommodating to us! The atmosphere was lovely, this is a fantastic place for lunch and the tequila sunrise was delicious. The food was fantastic, can’t recommend enough. Thank you!

I was here more recently than the other reviewers and I think the place must have improved since their experiences. The food was standard fare but the beer was good and they show the football on a large screen. Note that the place is packed when a match is on. I arrived at 7 and was virtually alone there, by 8 there was no room left.
Really just a good place to watch the football with a few beers and a burger.

Nice place to grab a drink. Atmosphere is nice. Staff is friendly and polite. If you want to chill and don’t want to go somewhere fancy, this is the place.
