Iced coffee is amazing and staff is excellent – very nice and friendly. I didn’t wait long for my food. I liked the Bang Bang Noodle Bowl I ordered – sauce was tasty and veggies were fresh, but I’m pretty sure they used frozen chicken nuggets as the protein. They just had a very weird texture that was not helped by a thick sauce. I’d much rather have just grilled chicken in the bowl if that’s what is easier for the chefs to do.

Long long wait for okay food…
Over the handful of times I came here, every single time I had to wait 30 minutes for the food. The food is pretty good but it is not good enough for me to wait so long every time. Because of this, I have not gone here for a while. You can go to a faster pho or ramen restaurant if you crave noodles.

I know the restaurant says zen but there was nothing appealing about this place. The food was flavorless, My daughter’s teriyaki boneless wings were the best thing we ordered
My husband’s pork belly in his soup was slimmie and nasty
My pork belly was thin sliced and kinda dry, my chicken looked like they took it off a rotisserie chicken

The ramen noodles were subpar/nothing special and there was a fly in my cup of water. The pork they used was tough and dry with no flavor. The broth had flavor but it was meek and had no depth. The only good things were the takoyaki and the marinated egg. Just an average place with decent service. The environment is very cute though.

Very disappointed with Zen Noodle Bar. I ordered the bulgogi beef bowl, and the beef was undercooked. My mom and sister’s beef rib pho ($22) came with raw ribeye, cold soup, and tough ribs that were hard to chew. We waited nearly an hour for the food, and the server didn’t apologize — just offered 20% off. The older lady (possibly the owner) seemed unprofessional. We ended up leaving all the food. The photo is the beef still very undercooked with the cold soup they dont know how to make pho!

I used to love this restaurant. Anytime a friend would visit Gainesville I’d recommend it. Sadly I can’t anymore.
The last four times I’ve ordered here they have messed up my order. I’ve had to wait over half an hour each time to actually receive my food and never once did anyone apologize. Just today I asked them to correct my order because they used rice noodles instead of egg noodles and they didn’t give me extra tofu. That must have annoyed them because when I got home and opened my bowl they had taken out almost all the veggies and gave me half as many noodles as are normally in it. They charged me $20 for this. Never going back again.

Really nice food.
We ordered pho, zen ramen, Thai green curry and fried chicken wings.
Everything was delicious.

We ordered food to go and it was awesome. Arianna was very friendly and helped a lot with her recommendations. There were two other young people working with her, one young lady and one young man, all 3 were exceptionally friendly and represented their generation very well. Food was awesome, I had the bulgogi beef bowl and my daughter ordered the drunken noodles. The food was prepared is a very reasonable time, not to quick as to say that it was prepared ahead of time. Awesome visit, will definitely go again.

We had a bad service at Zen noodle bar. It took them a while to greet us and after our server took our order it took them 15 minutes to give us our drinks. Our food thankfully was delicious but after they delivered it the server asked if we needed anything else and I asked for a fork and he still forgot that. It seemed like their staff was prioritizing the online orders over the people in the restaurant as it wasn’t busy when we went. The food was good but the service wasn’t.

Food was ok.
Service was poor.
Ordered:
-Fried Spring Rolls (Chicken) – Not bad, chicken is minced and hard to differentiate from the veggies in it.
-Spicy beef noodle soup – Wasn’t spicy and soup barely had any taste. I was looking forward to the lemongrass and chili paste flavor.
-Kids Pho’s (One Chicken/ One Beef) – Wasn’t anything to write home about.

What made our service poor was the following.
Our server never checked on us. I had to get his attention multiple times (Napkins, water, additional items we wanted to order) while he was behind the counter. I had asked him for some napkins for some water we spilled and used but he never gave us any napkins when he served us our meal. I waited a few minutes in case he was coming back with them before I asked. Then I realized my kids didn’t have soup spoons, which I just asked another server that happened to be walking by for them. Mind you we ordered three soup entrees.
