Great and worth a visit! My expected pretty middle of the road when we found this place. Honestly though, it was great. My wife had the steak bento and it was fantastic. Great flavors on everything. Steak was perfect and tender. The sushi was really solid. Large rolls with great flavors. It wasn’t crazy overpriced like all the other places we ate. The service was really good too.

Zen Sushi is hands down our favorite sushi spot. We keep coming back because the food is always fresh, beautifully prepared, and consistently delicious. Every roll feels thoughtfully made, never rushed. But what really makes this place special is the staff — incredibly friendly, welcoming, and truly family-like. They make you feel appreciated and remembered, not just served. It’s one of those places that feels comfortable the moment you walk in. Definitely recommend

Had a WONDERFULE BIRTHDAY EVENING TONIGHT! Though we came in later, they treated me like royalty. I was pleasantly surprised with the romantic and cultural atmosphere and the service from Sen and Liko was top notch at the bar! Talk about being amazed and your taste buds tested to the max!
If you don’t like sushi, this is the place because EVERYTHING is great and FRESH and anything you get will be tasteful!
If your a sushi vet like us, prepared to be amazed and blessed by something different than what we already eat in Destin making you want more.

Excelente place !
Not Fancy or expensive looking but Great ambiance, casual and relaxed atmosphere.
Amazing options for sushi and all sorts of different food. Way too many to choose from.
The service was excellent and fast.
Prices actually were lower than expected.

We had the most amazing meal here. They start with a complementary delish appetizer. It’s missing one piece cause I forgot to take pic. The sashimi platter was the best ever. We couldn’t believe the portions and it was so fresh and tasty. The shrimp and filet hibachi was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well.
The staff were super friendly and attentive.

Went for lunch right as they opened, the service was great. Everyone super nice, quick, and the food was delicious. They gave us a roll of sushi to sample when we first got there as well. Will be back just from th customer service alone!

So clean inside and the service was excellent. They gave us a complimentary appetizer sushi roll and the fishes as well as all the fresh vegetables and soups were fantastic. Really a gem of a Japanese restaurant and the prices are reasonable for the quality of food they offer.

Zen is hands down one of our favorite sushi spots. From the moment you walk in, everything just feels right—great atmosphere, incredible food, and truly amazing service. We always sit at the bar, which is our favorite place to be, and Katut (pronounced Ketu) makes the experience unforgettable. Watching him prepare the sushi is part of the fun, and he always takes the time to chat with us, make recommendations, and make us feel genuinely welcome. The sushi is consistently fresh, beautifully prepared, absolutely delicious, AND the presentation: WOW! Every visit is enjoyable, relaxed, and memorable. Zen never disappoints, and we look forward to coming back every time!!!

My mom and I went here for a little snack while driving through Destin and picked this place by chance. We were VERY satisfied with the sushi. It was beautiful presentation, tasted fresh and the portions were amazing! Excellent service, as well. I highly recommend ZEN for a sushi restaurant!

Zen offered a wide variety of options. Even gave a sample starter before our order was taken. The food was delicious. Friendly, professional service. This establishment is one I’d definitely visit again when we are in town.
