Bartender provided great customer service. Friendly environment for the most part. I sat at the bar and the owner questioned my age but never asked for an ID. She pushed her emptied dinner plate right next to me for some reason. So maybe next time I will time it’ better. I had called in the other but got there too soon, so I had too wait. Pizza was good, could have used more meat and cheese for the price but overall it was good.

We had dinner on Saturday and had a great time. They were busy, but we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and attentive. I had a strawberry daquiri and it was delicious. Our pizza came out quickly and was delicious as well. Such a great experience as always! Can’t wait to go back!

The BEST tasting pizza I’ve had in the area in 2.5 years in the Sacramento area (originally from the Chicago area). Added garlic and mushroom to my sausage pizza and the toppings were not disappointing at all – enough garlic to scare away the vampires for eternity!!!! Just grabbed a to go pizza because I wasn’t in the hanging out at a bar mood, but the ambience was definitely relaxed and darker (lighting wise) which I prefer to the rowdy and bright bars.

The reviews don’t lie this is honestly the best pizza in Sacramento! I really like how they serve the beer in the half pints. It’s only $1.50 really great atmosphere and the food came out pretty quickly.

Ok, I was torn about this. The atmosphere is very cozy, dive bar like. The people were fantastic. We called a deep dish pizza in for pickup and they said about 30 mins. We got there around that time and still had to wait another 15. No big deal. The pizza itself was okay. There was a lot of moisture on top which leaked all over the box (bc it was piping hot). It was a very sauce forward pizza, lacking cheese for our tastes. I would come back just to dine in and try something else on the menu though.

I’m not sure what was worse, the service or the food. I’m honestly surprised by how many good reviews they do have. Incredibly long wait times, sandwich was soggy, weird pizza. I had to ask about our appetizer before it was served. Which I only finally spoke up because the table next to us showed up at least 30 minutes after but got their pizza before any of our food arrived. The waiter could tell we were puzzled and told us they called in their order. I’ve been wanting to try this place for so long but now I have no idea how they’re even in business.

This place is a Sac icon, I understand that, but there was next to no meat on our pizza! I’d heard so much about it, and I was really excited to try it. In the end, the cheesy garlic bread ended up being the star of the show at our dinner! I’ll go back for the cheesy bread!!

In all my time being in Sacramento I have never felt the need to write a review until I walked into this place. My friends and I were excited to try this place, but as soon as we sat down everything was off to a bad start. Clearly the waitress was not having a good day and showed the lowest level of customer service I’ve ever seen. It’s as though we were bothering her by being there. Seems like this is a recurring incident since several other reviews state the same experience. Her attitude was simply rude, we barely sat down for less than 5 mins and she says, “do you know what you want already?” Instead of saying, “Hi, how are you all doing, have you been here before?, do you need help with the menu?” I mean come on basic customer service skills.

Best pizza in Sacramento AND the pasta I nothing to sneeze at… we came here with three other guys. We had 2 pizzas and tons of beer for under $100 that is one heck of a deal! Growing up we’d eat at Zelda’s outside of Berkeley… not sure if they’re related….
