I have photos on the back deck of this place dating back to 2012. That says everything. You approach this place in the middle of nowhere and have no idea what to expect. What you find is an excellent lakeside bar/tavern/restaurant with great food and a fantastic atmosphere. Linda has been our server for years, she’s hilarious! Having lunch or dinner on the back deck is truly amazing. If you’re in the area, it’s absolutely worth the trip. The food is always good and parking is plentiful.

We were sat on the back deck overlooking Lake Iliff on a perfect fall evening. Sooo beautiful here! We ordered some of their Oktoberfest food specials and the Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest on tap was the perfect beer. Everything was delicious! Our waitress was friendly and made it a fun night out. Thank you!

Sheridan’s has that true family-tavern feel — cozy, welcoming, and full of charm. They offer a great variety of drinks and classic comfort food, and the chicken pot pie healed me. I’ll definitely be back.

What a great evening. Went to the off-the-charts Rymer-Fitzsimmons show. Everyone at our table was treated so nicely by the waitress. Even the weirdos. Complicated drink orders came out perfectly. The gluten-free pizza with everything had tasty fresh red peppers. I have to go back when it’s light out so I can see out the windows to the lake. And also have to bring a hotter date.

We were in the area and decided to grab a quick bite and a drink. It was our first time there. The staff were very friendly and the ptarmigan garlic boneless wings were pretty good. The 2 drinks we had were amazing! Definitely recommend!!! I’ll name the drinks on the picture description. Worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

While being in the area, decided to stop there for lunch. Local food was good, they had a very decent beer. The view on the lake was extraordinary and in some sense, quite soothing. Prices were decent and service up to par. I’ll make sure to stop there if I am ever in the area again.

Great atmosphere, lots of good things on the menu, sports on Sunday, live music, music bingo on Tuesday.
Nice to eat looking out over the lake.
Good place to meet old friends and make some new ones.

A staple of the greater Newton area. Deceptively large, friendly servers, excellent American/Pub food, with delicious specials that branch out. Best of all, it won’t break the bank bringing the family out. The bar area is popular, but most of the dining is not bar-adjacent, and very peaceful. Will definitely return.

Wow. I haven’t been to a restaurant this great in a while!

First of all, their complimentary pretzels w/ dip is absolutely addicting. Their homemade dip is lick-the-bowl-clean kind of good (and i definitely would have licked the cup clean if i wasn’t in public ).

I ordered the prime rib sandwich and it was so flavorful! I’ve had prime rib sandwiches from many different restaurants and this is one of my favorites. Their steak fries are also very yummy!

The staff were amazingly friendly and nice. The atmosphere was great!

We aren’t from around here and i wish this place was way closer to home. I will definitely be back again when we are in the area!

The Cottage Pie was bland with a sweet undertone. The carrots in the pie were still crunchy, and the pees were overcooked. The mash on top was grainy and lacked any real flavor. The whole thing tasted like an American attempt at a dish they only heard about. The salmon lacked any flavor. The “sauce” on the salmon was melted butter, and even that could not save the fish. The veggies were blanched/boiled and soft. The rice tasted like it was made from a box of Uncle Ben’s. The bang bang shrimp were clearly pre-made. The shrimp by far had the most flavor of anything we ordered. The sauce was clearly from the shelf of the local grocery. The kids’ hotdog bun was toasted to the point it had become a crouton, and my child did not eat it. They did like the fries. The mixed drink was the best thing we ordered, and the only thing that did not leave us disappointed.
