Zaxby’s was running constant ads on Spotify. So I thought I’d try them out. They’re a fast food chain specializing in wings and chicken fingers.
To get to this location which is on the southeast corner of Highway 80 and 49 in Jackson, Mississippi, turn in like you’re entering the Sutherland’s Home Improvement store, but then hang a hard right and you’ll see it straight ahead. Turn in to the second driveway for their parking lot or drive through.
The entrance has a ramp but could be challenging for some people in wheelchairs or who are handicapped. I have some family members who would have difficulty getting in. See the picture I posted for reference, and you can determine if you can get in or need to stick to the drive through.
I was not welcomed but I needed a moment to preview their menu. I finally decided to get the chicken finger tacos with the chipotle ranch sauce and pico de gallo. They are made with flour tortillas which I found to be rather blah (I’m used to home-made or at least really good flour tortillas in my hometown which is 95% Hispanic). Thankfully, the chicken fingers were generous, hot, and tasty. I would have enjoyed a bit more of the sauce. It was not spicy at all. The pico de gallo was passing. Again, I’ve had the best elsewhere, so I’m a bit picky. Overall, the food was pretty good. It was a reasonable price.
The food was served in styrofoam, disposable containers.
The drink station had soft drinks and fresh brewed iced tea.
The young lady who took my order was friendly, as was the manager who offered to clear my table of the tray and empty food container when I had finished.
I would try Zaxby’s again, but I would want to get something other than the tacos next time.

At the drive thru, I had 2 separate orders. And they gave me the first order in 2 bags and the receipts for both orders. Delivered the bosses order and returned to my area to dig into egg rolls. Wasn’t egg rolls, but part of bosses order.
POed went back to get my egg rolls.
I have had better egg rolls from gas stations.
This is the 2nd time that I have tried Zaxbys. There will not be a 3rd.

I had such a great experience at Zaxby’s! The food was fresh, hot, and made exactly how I ordered it. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, and everything came out quickly even though it was busy.
What really stood out to me was the manager. They were professional, friendly, and made sure customers felt welcomed and taken care of. You can tell they care about the team and about giving great customer service. The restaurant was clean, organized, and had a positive atmosphere.
I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this location!

I had a great experience at this Zaxby’s, and the staff truly made the difference. From the moment I walked in, the restaurant felt clean, organized, and welcoming.
The manager, Erin, clearly runs a tight ship. She was professional, attentive, and visibly involved with both the team and customers. You can tell she genuinely cares about maintaining quality service and a smooth operation. It’s refreshing to see a manager who leads by example and stays engaged on the floor.
At the register, A’mayiah was fantastic. She was friendly, patient, and made sure my order was correct while keeping things moving efficiently. Her positive attitude made the interaction pleasant, and she handled everything with confidence and a smile.
The food came out hot, fresh, and exactly as ordered, which just reinforced how well this location is managed. Overall, this Zaxby’s stands out because of its excellent customer service and strong leadership.

Not a great first experience at this location. The service was good. Greeted when I walked in. The young lady at the register was nice. The restaurant is basically new, but the floors and tables were all dirty. The floors were also sticky. I ordered the 4 piece. It came out pretty quick. I have been to probably 5 different Zaxby’s and the chicken is usually good. It was dry as a bone and the tenders were small. The coleslaw was good. I will say that. I left pretty disappointed and still hungry. As I was walking back to my car a guy that had been eating inside the same time I had was going to his car. I asked him how his meal was. He said he wouldn’t be in a rush to come back.

I visited the Zaxbys in Pearl Ms for the first time since they opened…the store was very clean and the service was outstanding. They even greet you when you come in. I ask the order taker which was the manager Adrian what do he recommend. He told me about the new wraps they have so I said “sounds wonderful” give me the grill wrap meal. It was so delicious I will stop by more often.
