This was a very cute restaurant. The staff was friendly and prompt. I had the Carne Asada but the steak was brown throughout and looked and tasted like it was broiled in water or sat in water. So I don’t recommend the steak. My wife tried the Chimichanga and it was good. The salsa was great. I would recommend this place, just not the Carne Asada.

Good food, good service! We’ve eaten here a few times. My wife loves the tortilla soup. My fave is the veggie fajitas and the black beans served with the chips before your meal. Absolutely, worth the drive to Collinsville.

The service was very good. The food in our opinion was good, however the chili con carne sauce for the enchiladas were overly spiced with chili powder which made it difficult to eat. The sweet tea was made perfectly and had a good flavor, as well as the chips and salsa at the beginning of meal. It’s nice to see that they have a full bar. We will try them again and choose other items.

Authentic good food. Atmosphere is nice. Not to loud. If you do have an adult beverage, it’s not disappointing like so many other places. Lots of families dining. The meal is slow to arrive but worth the wait. Don’t come if you are in a hurry for something to throw down and run. The food is definitely worth the time. My family has been 3 times now and the staff are always friendly and efficient.

I have heard a lot of great things about this restaurant. But I was throughly disappointed.

Our experience at El Patron was great! We passed by the building many times awaiting the day it would open. The sign finally switched to open! The staff was very attentive. The food service was a little slow, but for opening weekend they did a great job. I ordered the cowboy enchiladas. They were excellent. A huge plus was the draft beer. A cold Dos Equis after a long days work with some quality Mexican food is a perfect end to the day. We loved our experience and look forward to returning.

Great food, amazing service. I would recommend going earlier than you planned because they get full quick!

Got to visit a week after their opening. It was ok. Came at 5:30pm on a Tuesday afternoon and the parking lot was full. No wait, yet the wait for our food was 45 minutes. After about 40 minutes we realized we never got chips and salsa like so many other tables. Ordered fish plate, received shrimp tacos. Waited another 10 minutes for the fish. We tried the fried ice cream (not really fried, rolled in cereal?) and flan. Hands down the flan was the Best!
