I have been to El Patron several times–this last time having Chicken Fajitas and a Taco Salad. I like this place better than Ernesto’s and Uncle Beto’s along the 377 corridor.

Oh my goodness! Had the best dinner and best service at El Patron in Collinsville. From Thomas our server, to the absolute beautiful presentation of our food which was delicious, to talking with Eric the manager, a totally great experience. Drinks were so good also. HIGHLY recommend this great local restaurant. The flaming Kathy’s Bruchetta was fun to see and a huge serving and sooo good

The service was very good. The food in our opinion was good, however the chili con carne sauce for the enchiladas were overly spiced with chili powder which made it difficult to eat. The sweet tea was made perfectly and had a good flavor, as well as the chips and salsa at the beginning of meal. It’s nice to see that they have a full bar. We will try them again and choose other items.

Authentic good food. Atmosphere is nice. Not to loud. If you do have an adult beverage, it’s not disappointing like so many other places. Lots of families dining. The meal is slow to arrive but worth the wait. Don’t come if you are in a hurry for something to throw down and run. The food is definitely worth the time. My family has been 3 times now and the staff are always friendly and efficient.
Update – New favorite server…Eric. I love that he makes everything so personable. Had a great evening with my wife despite it being very packed. Never felt like we were forgotten. Two different managers checked in on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. What a fantastic place to dine.

Food is very good and full of flavor. First time in awhile to find a place who cooks a Ribeye to what was asked for. Ribeye was amazing. Tacos Cancun was amazing. Got a small margarita (you get your alcohols worth 🙂 ) brisket rolls were good. Service was good.
Had to take a video of the flaming Kathy’s brochetta someone else got

They have a little bit of something for everyone which is nice it’s not just all 100 Mexican food. Steaks and burgers also.

Thought it was a bit pricey on some the items But time and gas driving to the metroplex for the next best thing it works out.

Me and my husband arrived and were seated promptly. The staff were very friendly and passed our table often. I don’t remember music or tv playing, and the atmosphere seemed a little stagnant.
However, the chips and salsa were very fresh! It was honestly one of my favorite salsas I have eaten in a while.
The food arrived in good time, but the rice and beans were room temperature. Not a huge deal, they still tasted pretty good. The only thing is the cabbage on my fish tacos were so bitter I had to pick it out. Maybe it was just a bad batch, but I have never tasted cabbage that bitter. Also, the corn tortillas were super greasy. The fish was very hot and flavorful though!
Overall, it’s a decent restaurant to stop at if you are looking for a bite to eat.

Our experience at El Patron was great! We passed by the building many times awaiting the day it would open. The sign finally switched to open! The staff was very attentive. The food service was a little slow, but for opening weekend they did a great job. I ordered the cowboy enchiladas. They were excellent. A huge plus was the draft beer. A cold Dos Equis after a long days work with some quality Mexican food is a perfect end to the day. We loved our experience and look forward to returning.

This was a very cute restaurant. The staff was friendly and prompt. I had the Carne Asada but the steak was brown throughout and looked and tasted like it was broiled in water or sat in water. So I don’t recommend the steak. My wife tried the Chimichanga and it was good. The salsa was great. I would recommend this place, just not the Carne Asada.

First time here and we thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. The set up for the table included bean dip, salsa, and chips. Hint: put both beans and salsa in a chip…mmmm. We ordered white queso and it was great, just right on spicy. I ordered Salmon tacos. The amount of food was generous and well plated. Very appealing. The corn tortilla shells were crisp, and the contents included salmon, Cole slaw, thin shreds of red pepper, and spicy avocado. The blending of flavors and textures was spot on. The green rice (not made with tomatoes) was excellent and flavorful, not spicy. The side salad included slices of avocado, cherry tomatoes, tortilla strips, and lettuce. I put some of the salmon on top and it was great salad , no dressing needed. The charro beans were flavorful. Everything came hot. Our server Steve was superb and attentive. Prompt service, great food, pleasant atmosphere; what more can you want? What I liked especially it was out of the ordinary Mexican food, obviously crafted instead of mass produced. Well done.
