Food rated a 2 star simply because I like Zaxbys salads. I’ve been twice in the last few weeks. Got salads both times. The first visit, I asked for a refund after 30 minutes of waiting. There were probably 15 ppl waiting for food that day. Employees were cussing each other and one walked out. Went tonight…. Waited probably 10 minutes for salads, had to go back to the window to get an item that was left out. Get home and this salad is PITIFUL for something that costs $11. Unfortunately it seems like there is a pattern with this location. Honestly if it wasn’t a Sunday… I would have went “somewhere” else.

I love going to our local Zaxby’s here in Shallotte. They make sure the food is good and they strive to make sure service is the best even when they are so busy and may feel overwhelmed. Amber the store manager is the greatest. I commend her for all her efforts and hard work in striving to make our Zaxby’s one of the best around.

Every time I go here, they greet at the drive through speaker with “give me a second” or “hey, can you give me a minute”.. then about 3 minutes later they take my order. Not a big deal… I go to the window, pay, they hand my drinks, and theyre pretty nice. Then they asked me to pull up to a spot and they’ll bring it out to me. They never say how long it’ll be. It ends up being anywhere from 10-30 mins. Tonight took the cake. There was only one person infront of me, idk what he ordered but I heard the woman on the speaker say “it will take the full time, is that okay?” Anyways, I order, nothing was said to me, All I got was 2 zax snack meals. The person infront of me pulls to a parking spot after paying, I get to the window, its the same deal. They ask me to pull to a spot and they’ll bring it out to me. After 10 mins of waiting, 2 more people come through the line and end up parking beside me. After 10 more minutes the lady beside me must have went inside and got a refund because she came back out with no food and left. I ended up calling, asking if they were still bringing my food out. The lady said she was bagging it up now. We’ll about 7 or 8 minutes pass and the lady comes out with 5 bags. Brings it to the some other car I didnt even realize was waiting because they were there before the person infront of me. Then the truck infront of me gets theirs, then comes to me. Asks me if I got some random order, I told her what I got. She pretty much tosses the bag of food to me and walks away without saying a word. I live less than 1 mile from zaxbys.. when I get home and opened the boxes.. the food is barely warm, the fries are old and look like they’ve been re-fried to keep the fresh.. and one of the meals was missing a piece of bread. I paid almost $20 and left pissed off and disappointed. And the wait thing happens every single time. Why in the world did they wait until everyones orders were ready to bring them all out at the same time? Its obvious they weren’t all done at the same time… you had people waiting longer than me. Zaxbys needs to figure something out. If they plan on us waiting for longer than 5 minutes, say something. This all happened at 6:00 on a Thursday. It wasnt packed, they weren’t busy as hell. Im just irritated at the whole situation. Do better.

This is one of the few times that i’ve had a great experience here. The employees mannerisms are amazing especially the lady who took my order. My food was fresh and hot, this visit was nothing short of amazing. Definitely coming back

I go through the drive thru everyday after school. My son loves the bacon ranch loaded fries and the woman that works the window is great. She is fast and efficient. I would recommend to anyone

Very strange place very dark and dreary inside never enough help,there always scrambling ,cleaning the tables taking orders, even cooking the food, honestly it a mad house! Garbage cans over flowing on to the floors! They need to get some serious management quickly!!!!

Food was hot, The cooks are top notch, I will come back every time as long as I see the tall cooks in the back, They make sure our food is always fresh and very presentable! I like how everyone has their head covered via hat/head covering! This is really one of Shallotte Gems, But back to the cooks man those tall dudes are really great when it comes to cooking! And I forgot too mention the Hispanic guy man he has a great personality 10-10, I think his name was Richard, The front of house employees are also really great and very sweet!

I don’t kno what was in the air today but when I came to zaxbys in shallotte today , around lunch time , everything was A1. Down to the customer service. The lady in the window seemed to have been having a great day , today, she also introduced me to cookie butter milkshake IT WAS GREAT! 10/10
