Real Italian food (as best as I know) that is fantastic. The pasta was homemade. The pizza was absolutely delicious and I could not believe that the pricing was as low as it was. The servers were really cute young ladies that were very knowledgeable and professional while carrying a high level of energy. The owner/manager came out and spoke with us. Every time I have gone to this place the service was great and the food was excellent. Also, it is very conveniently located in the middle of Scottsdale, Mesa, Queen Creek, Chandler, Gilbert and Apache Junction so you can have a bunch of people meet. The tables are not bolted to the ground so that makes it easy to have a large group.

Dinner was perfect, and I can say our waiter was one of the best I’ve ever had. We dine at high-end steakhouses and eateries all over the world and can say the service at Zappone’s was one of the best. The charcuterie board, cheesecake, and chicken marsala were also delicious! Definitely an new spot to add to our rotation!!!

It is just so bad. Really just awful. The waitress was nice, the owner was serving as well and she was great. The food was inedible and the seating was terrible. We spent $100 (only one glass of wine) and went to Taco bell after because of how little we could eat. I feel awful because it’s a small business and they were definitely trying but people need to be warned to not waste their money here 🙁

We couldn’t have been much more disappointed. The sauce had little to no flavor, as did the meat. I will say though that the vinegar used in the oil and vinegar for the bread was great. We had to work to get at it through all of the oil though. The waitress was good and the place looked nice. We have no plans to return.

First time here and didn’t disappoint! The calamari as an appetizer was to die for! I Ordered the the chianti braised beef and pasta. Amazing!!!! Cheesecake out of this world ! Owner on site and very pleasant. Server was great too. Husband and I will definitely make this a regular place to dine for Auntentic Italian.

A good friend and former server recommended Zappone’s and it was a GREAT recommendation. They were able to accommodate our large party of about 15! We tried almost every appetizer (Calamari, Mozzarella Balls and Bruschetta) they were all AMAZING. Their CHIANTI BRAISED BEEF & Spaghetti & Meatballs (I added Italian sausage as well) was delicious. We will definitely be back and it was so worth our 45 minute drive to Gilbert!!
