The food was absolutely delicious and so fresh! Had never tasted Indian food like it, definitely a new local favourite! The hot honey chicken and garlic mushroom starters were 10/10 followed by a mixed grill, peshwari nan and mango korma, would highly recommend to anyone! Looking forward to trying other items on the menu!

Really disappointed with our experience at Zaika tonight. We came for dinner as a party of 5 and things started off badly straight away. We were given our poppadoms and mango chutney but weren’t given any side plates until we had basically finished them. When we finally got them, the server had a clear attitude, almost like we were inconveniencing her after she had just been told off by her boss.
When our mains arrived, we had ordered three different types of rice, but all five of us were given the exact same type. At that point we didn’t even bother complaining because we just wanted to enjoy our meal.
However, halfway through eating, a waiter came over and asked if we could get the bill because they had a party of 50 arriving. We were rushed out while still eating. We had absolutely no warning about this when we were seated. If they knew they had a large party coming in, they should have told us beforehand that we would have limited time.
In total we were in the restaurant for about 45 minutes and didn’t even get to properly finish our meal. To make things worse, we were also charged for extras. Normally we wouldn’t even bother checking the bill, but because of the attitude and how we were treated, we did — and I’m glad we did.
Overall, very poor service and a really disappointing experience. Definitely won’t be rushing back.

I went for some dinner on the 8th march and I have zero complaints. The staff and food was amazing. One complaint would be other customers!!!! I witnessed a group of 5 who were told they needed to leave by 7 (we were told the same thing) as there was a large booking. This was fine as we know how restaurants work. The customers then refused to leave and harassed the staff when asked for their table back. I’ve now discovered that these customers have left reviews claiming they were forced to leave and they were still eating. This is not true, they were sitting in silence on their phones PLATES EMPTY. I will be back.

Ordered from here online and we got a set meal for two, garlic mushrooms and chicken tikka starter. Finally somewhere local you can get proper Indian food, absolutely delicious! You could tell it was cooked fresh and it arrived on time piping hot. Great value for money and generous portions Will definitely be booking a table soon.

Took the opportunity to dine on the lunch time menu. Both dishes very tasty and well presented. Service good food good, atmosphere good. For a lunch menu at £9.95 this is certainly value for money.
