Best good quality pizza and wings I’ve had in the 10 years I’ve been in CT !
I don’t eat pizza often but when I do it’s this place ! Some may say it’s pricey , it is but it’s so worth it ! Better than NY & Boston for sure !! Highly recommend ! Oh and the recess peanut butter cookies are a delight as well !

Moved to Bloomfield a few years ago and could not find a pizza spot that delivered and had “great everything”. Our weekly Friday night orders are our reward for the hard work week, the reward needs to make my stomach and wallet smile. There are three of us in the house and all have spacific things we judge a pizza place by. There are a few things a spot has to have to get a 5 star in my house! We judge on crispy wings, fresh salads that you know were made fresh and can they make a steak and cheese sub. Pizza obviously but we can accept a wide range in that category so we have tested everything from cheese, to meatlovers. I can easily call Michael John’s the best in Bloomfield. Beyond friendly! Far past delicious! Great value too!

I’ve been to Michael John’s Pizza in Bloomfield multiple times, but today was easily my worst experience and the last straw.
I made the grave mistake of ordering a cheeseburger during lunch. After waiting far too long, I asked the owner about my order. He claimed it was “on the grill,” which was clearly not true—they had forgotten the order entirely. I was almost late getting back to work because of it.
When the food finally came out, they wrapped it to-go even though I ordered to eat there. The burger itself was awful—burnt, dry, and hard, with about half of it basically inedible. The fries were over-fried and hard as well.
To make things worse, I went to the self-serve condiment station for ketchup. Big mistake. The ketchup was old and sour, something I only realized after pouring it all over my fries—so those went straight in the trash. Cleanliness is clearly an issue if they can’t even keep basic condiments fresh.
I left frustrated and later ended up with a stomach ache, which says a lot.
This isn’t a one-off problem either. In the past, they’ve forgotten my order or given me the wrong one. Their boneless “chicken tenders” are way overpriced and aren’t even real chicken—just processed nugget-style meat. The pizza is okay if you catch them on the right day, but it’s often excessively greasy. If you don’t like oil-soaked pizza, it’s not for you.
Overall, inconsistent food, poor service, cleanliness issues, and zero accountability. I won’t be coming back.

I stopped in here today thinking this was just some small pizza joint. I heard they had slices so I figured I’d check them out. Boy was I wrong! Michael johns definitely has slices, however it is unlike any pizzeria I’ve ever seen. They have tons of different slice options, as well as other Italian classics like Stromboli. I went with the pepperoni (my personal favorite) and a Margherita. Both of them were very very good. The slices were tremendous and covered with toppings. I had the garlic bread as well. It was a good balance of cheese, bread and garlic butter. Prices were reasonable. The coolest thing though was the incredible steady stream of customers coming in on their lunch break to grab a slice of pizza with their coworkers. Every booth had people sitting at them, and people were moving in and out of the restaurant. The line was always long the whole time I was there, but moved very quickly. Congrats to all the success of this unique pizzeria.

I think overall, this is a nice place with decent slices. I think they need to work on the firmness of their crust, however, once I finish half of the slice with a fork, I could pick it up and finish it. Lots of choices for slices and decent prices. I don’t like that they use the tiny pepperoni, but it was still pretty good. They seem a little disorganized but friendly service. I’ll be back. I had a pepperoni slice to go on my first visit and had a BBQ chicken bacon ranch slice and a Buffalo Chicken slice on this visit.

Wow! This place is Pizza at it’s Best!! Dine in a very clean , spacious, and cozy family friendly atmosphere. Customer service is top notch and between the selection of different kinds of pizzas/ calzones and the prices this budget friendly zone will keep us coming back! Hot ! DELICIOUS AND AFFORDABLE! OH let’s not forget the selection of Beverages! This restaurant is a Class Act!! Can’t wait to share with my friends and family.!!

It was so enjoyable here! Walking in, I was shocked by a spacious room with modern architecture. The staff was helpful, attentive, and friendly. It was really busy (lunch hour), but I was able to eat and get back on time because the team executed tasks very well! To top it off, the Meat Lover’s slice and order of Buffalo Wings were hot, fresh, and delicious. Only bit of constructive criticism is the buffalo wings didn’t have sauce on most of the chicken. It seems when that was applied, the small amount of sauce missed all but one piece and made a small splash on the bottom of the tray. Just a couple more splashes and a little shake would result in perfection in my opinion. Still everything was fantastic!

Interesting place and unique arrangement. You’ll see what I mean as you walk in. I had a slice and an Italian combo grinder. All the available slices are laid out in front for you to browse and choose from. Big open kitchen and the menu is posted on the big wide screens overhead. Kind of a cafeteria feel but friendly at the same time. For me though, the standout was the nice and full grinder. Italian combo grinders are a dime a dozen but this one had some kick to it! A hot ham or capicola maybe? So good I actually had to stop and say to myself hey, this is a really good grinder!
