The entertainment & atmosphere are great. I expected more from the kitchen as, in terms of flavor, the food is somewhat average although the menu items are creative. The biggest issue I have though is that they don’t execute… the service is consistently poor. The wait staff is generally quite young; maybe training in what makes for a top-shelf experience is lacking. Having visited several times I’ve come to expect to have to remind the waiter/waitress to bring another whatever. Happens every time. Since I do enjoy the live music, I’ve learned to nurse my beer.

Not only did half of our party of about 14 people get sick, but we had many other problems as well. First, some in our party had allergies and preferences and everything ordered came out with everything on it regardless. Those with allergies and diabetes had to ask for things to be fixed and were met with awful attitudes when they asked. Like many reviewers on here we also waited over an hour for everything, but as a large party we didn’t mind. Also, we had to argue to be able to put a couple tables together to seat our party together, they originally wanted us all to sit apart which defeats the purpose of all going out together. About 30mins after leaving everyone who ate the chicken was throwing up and running to the bathroom, it was awful. Also the one person with celiac disease will now be sick for days. Do not go here if you need any accommodations, have any allergies, or menu changes they seem to not allow it. I myself asked for no cheese and was met with, you’ll like it. No, at entrees over $20 a plate for simple food it was awful. Slow service, bad food, bad attitudes, and they made us all sick! Not sure if the chicken was bad or undercooked.

I am a local patron, I like Senoia and Southern Ground fits well in the small town feel. Cool atmosphere, good food, and a large selection of drinks. You have darts and other fun little games you can play and socialize at the same time. The servers/waiters are always on point and friendly, even when it gets packed and the kitchen may fall behind a little.

MANAGEMENT IS TERRIBLE!!!!! I have been to this restaurant many times in the past, but it seems that the few times that I have been since late summer the service has been horrible, which is a shame. Luckily, the only thing they had going for them when we went last Saturday night was that the food was good. We got there at 6:30 on a Saturday, a typical busy night for a restaurant and we knew there would be a bit of a wait, and of course when we got there it was a 45 minute wait. However, the bottom room where the band plays was completely empty and I asked the hostess could we sit in there and she said that they were understaffed for us to sit in there?? Ok… we thought so we went to the bar and ordered some drinks and an appetizer. The bar tendered took forever to take our order and was rude to us. After an hour wait, not the 45 minutes which they said it would take, I noticed several empty tables around us that had food still left on them and empty drinks where the bus boy/girl failed to clean them. This frustrated me as this is unacceptable because they could have set us earlier had the tables been clean and not accompanied by flies all around the food as well as it looked disgusting. Once we sat, the waiter took forever to take our order, even though he was a nice guy, and we had to wait on the food. Like I said earlier, luckily the food was good but it took forever. Lastly, we wanted to listen to the band after we ate dinner, which was about 8:30. When we got into the band room, there was several empty tables with food and empty drinks left on them as well. It sat like that the entire time we were in there and listening to the band…. totally DISGUSTING! Even the tables where you are suppose to sit to listen to the band had empty trays with empty drinks on them. I was so appalled by this, not even for the lack of courtesy for the guest but the MANAGER walked back and forth by these tables and he never cleaned them up himself. To me, that right there showed no wonder the service was terrible, the management was terrible. We will not be going back until this restaurant changes or highly improves their management, which I hope they do because we like the food, location and atmosphere of this restaurant.

This place is outstanding. Much better than when it was Founders. The stacked Enchilada plate was hands down the best southwestern plate I have had in ages. The staff is incredibly friendly and the executive chef was Zac’s touring chef.

Excellent but very disappointed! Located in the heart of beautiful downtown Senoia, this small place is beautifully decorated with a great pub/live music vibe but still very family friendly. The menu is simple and creatively very well done. All four of us enjoyed all of our food very much and the service was great…. but…

Great atmosphere, cool décor and good food in a small town. We parked 10 feet from the front door! Casual food menu well done. Two page drink menu was quite a surprise. Prices are $3.00 for a 16oz, PBR “Tall Boy” to $100.00 for 2oz. shot of MacAllan 25 year old. BUT, $15.00 for a glass of the lowest priced wine? What? Seriously? We’ll go back for the food and atmosphere. Not to mention that the very cold PBR was only $3.00!

Took literally 54 minutes to get 3 burgers that ended up being burnt to a crisp, on a day where there was less than half the place full. Before that, 40 minutes to get fried green tomatoes. I would’nt visit this place again.

The food was REALLY good, don’t get me wrong. My brother ended up getting food poisoning from the restaurant. We contacted the restaurant and the health department. Haven’t heard back over a month later.

It was a great place to eat. I’m sure it would have been better going on a night when half the place wasn’t booked up for a reunion.
