Awesome hibachi restaurant in the heart of Somerville. The food is all fresh and prepared to perfection right on front of you. The they still go the extra mile for the show with some added pranks too. You will not be disappointed in your meal. The wait staff is friendly and attentive without hovering.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The chef had zero idea what he was doing. I was with a group of four and we had 3 random people next to us. I ordered noodles and they ordered rice… the chef gave us rice and when he realized it was wrong he wanted us to switch. We explained to him we already had sushi off our plates and he said he didn’t care and switch plates. That’s disgusting!! The food was all over cooked so i took it home and went to eat it tonight and found TWO FINGERNAILS IN MY FOOD. i can’t even think about it without wanting to puke. that’s disgusting! they also overcharged us! will NEVER be returning

While the hibachi restaurant has potential, it could benefit from a refresh in both its food process and service. The ambiance gave off a youthful vibe, with birthday music playing and colorful disco balls overhead, making it feel like a spot for kids’ celebrations. I have no food to recommend. It’s worth noting that the restaurant operates as a BYOB establishment without serving alcohol.

Wife had Sushi. I had Hibachi. Very good. Large portions. Good value. Plenty of leftovers for both of us for lunch the next day. Only disappointment was we weren’t allowed to sit a Hibachi table because the wife was having sushi. Hibachi was cooked in kitchen and brought to our dinning room table. Dinning room was too quiet. Needs music, otherwise you can hear conversations at other tables clearly.

Best hibachi in the area if you ask me, a self-proclaimed foodie. It’s always a quick wait if not being seated as soon as you walk on, the appetizers are amazing (recommend the monkey ball), the drinks, soup and salad comes out immediately and the cooks always put on a great performance and get the customers involved. We always end up making friends with the people who sit next to us because everyone feels welcomed. Also, don’t forget to get the fried ice cream before you leave 😉

Went here for lunch for the second time and loved it again! We all had such a great time! The staff were welcoming and friendly! Cindy was so friendly and talkative to our shy toddler who just had to give her smiles and high fives when we were leaving! Our chef, Jack, was entertaining and fun! His food was top notch! From chicken to scallops to fillet to the rice and noodles- all delicious and in sizable portions for us to even take home! We’ll definitely be back!

Have been coming here yearly to celebrate sons birthday with family for many years. Tonight is the last night we will set foot in this facility. Not sure if it is under new ownership or it has just gone downhill but what a disappointment. From the minute we arrived and we’re seated at our table, we were rushed and hawked by the staff. It was a 4:30 reservation and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Staff seemed to have a terrible attitude and immediately before we could even sit down they brought out the soup and salad. We hadn’t even had a chance to sit let alone order drinks yet. We had wine and had to ask for glasses. The two servers hawking our table were so incredibly rude and rushed the entire meal. The chef was very friendly and food mediocre at best. Not like it used to be. We brought two cakes to celebrate two birthdays. One was a homemade ice cream cake which required the freezer and the other a reg chocolate cake. When they brought out the cakes the ice cream cake was completely melted. Clearly it was never put in the freezer. They used to have a disco ball and music and lights when celebrating a birthday and staff would clap and smile and sing along. Instead we had a cake ruined and melted and when the server put it down said here’s your cake cut the cake! When I asked abt the lights and disco ball they said no very firmly. Coffee and or tea was never offered and when I asked if they could please take a coffee order I was quickly shot down and told no they don’t have it. They handed out paper plates and plastic spoons for the cake. The also added 18% gratuity even though families were paying individually. Everyone but the chef were so incredibly rude and everything rushed. Will never set foot in that restaurant again! What a disgrace Yutaka has become!
