The wait for the food wasn’t long. Service wasn’t very clear that orders are made at the counter and there would be no waiter taking orders at the table. But they do deliver them to the table. My ordered was slightly incorrect but was immediately corrected. Parts of my meal lacked spice I think (catfish). The portions are big. I wish they had soft drinks. They only offer water or tea.

This place definitely has an atmosphere. However it may be a little too warm for many on hot Texas evenings It was not real cool . The Cajun food was really full of flavor. However I had Chicken Fried Steak for over sixty years in various places. This has to be the worst Children Fried Steak. The flavor was burnt and the chicken was very dry and thin. Give it a try but stick to the Cajun Meals. No table service and limited menu.

Great diner in Smithville TX. Chicken fried steak was outstanding. Potatoes also crazy good. Highlight were the grilled Brussels sprouts. This is a must try if in the area.

Just recently moved to Sville from Bastrop, and was exploring downtown for a Sunday Lunch spot when we found this little gem. Family owned and run place with an authentic Cajun twist to their cuisine. Dined in as soon as they opened the door at noon and we immediately wanted to order everything on the menu. Order at the counter with open seating first come first served! Hubby raved about the fried catfish here. I can see us becoming regulars here in the future!! Thanks so much for a special expirence that I was able to share with Dad

Good food with a cajun theme. Nice cook who came out to discuss gluten-free options with us. It’s better than dinner of the food I’ve had in New Orleans.

Went here for Easter lunch with my mom and dad, since it’s midway in between us. WE CAN’T WAIT TO COME BACK FOR MORE! Not only was the staff warm, welcoming, and friendly, the atmosphere was lovely. It was quiet enough to comfortably enjoy our conversations while waiting for our meals. We loved our meals so much that we all cleaned our plates. The deserts were delicious too and frankly, it felt like Thanksgiving-level “I don’t need to eat for three days and I have zero regrets”. The owners introduced themselves before we left. We can’t wait to come back!

Fast food is not their forte, and it’s wonderful. I was able to stop and have lunch at Your Mom’s this past weekend and I have nothing but wonderful things to say. First, it’s family owned and operated so you just feel at home when you walk in. You can clearly tell they spend time and put love into their food. I tried the Brussels sprouts first, then followed with the Shrimp picayune & grits.. all I can say is wow! My taste buds are still thanking me. My friend ordered the chicken fried steak and of course I had to try it.. not only was it massive but it was cooked perfectly. The batter was crispy and light, and I also learned they cut their own meat which is rare these days. I regret not taking a picture of it, but let’s be honest when something looks and smells that good who has time for a picture. Also, The ambience is lovely and the character of the exposed brick is also a nice touch. Please do yourself a favor and visit Your Mom’s if you have the chance!

What a gem! Just off of Main Street, this awesome place serves the best burgers in town. Best place to stop and rewind on your 71 trip, the people are friendly and cute! Service impeccable, interior has great atmosphere and the food? All from scratch, with the best veggie burger we’ve had so far. It has cheese IN it! Oh, don’t expect 3 minute service, if you want crappy fast food go to McDonald’s….

One of the most comfortable places I’ve been to it a long time. The food is out of the owner is the cook he does it all and I gotta tell you I can’t wait to go back.
