Outstanding Chinese Korean style cuisine. Dishes are consistently flavorful with strong wok character and well balanced seasoning. Jjajangmyeon and jjamppong are especially well executed, with rich sauces and generous portions. Service is efficient, and food comes out quickly even during busy hours.

I missed out on taking a photo, but their beef sweet and sour pork is top-tier ( tangsuyuk ). The uni-jajang sauce is served separately and very generously; there was still plenty of sauce left after finishing the noodles. It’s so good that I’d recommend mixing it with rice as well. Nurungji-tang was so good! Love that crispy and chewy combo.

Update: Still the best!! Nostalgic when I visit this place. Their sweet and sour pork with sauce on the side was the best, is the best, and will perpetually be the best until the end of time!!!!!

Then there is the best there ever was, is, and ever will be Young King Chinese Restaurant!!!!! Been coming here since I was 7 in 1987. First restaurant off the plane from LAX. 30+ years and still going strong!

First time dine in. I have to say that they serve one of the best Tangsuyook in US. So crunchy outside and tender inside. This menu alone will satisfy your appetite. We had a soju which goes well with our dishes.
Jjajangmyun and jjambbong were average. Servers were very friendly with antique interior. Will go back to try other dishes for sure.

I ordered beef jajangmyeon, but the staff said it would be salty if I put all the sauce in, so I didn’t, but it’s okay to put all of it in! And sweet and sour pork melts smoothly. The yaki dumplings were a bit greasy. It reminds me of Korea. It was delicious!

One of the few original mom/pop restaurants left in Koreatown. Been eating here since childhood and the food remains on point, just how I remember it every time. Whether it’s your first or 100th time here- (간)짜장면, 짬뽕, 탕수육, 깡뽕새우 are a must!
Dine-in highly recommended, it’s worth the wait.

They get mad if you order the lunch special. It’s “Chinese” food made by Koreans. They ignore you over Korean customers. They have no spice. Nothing spicy. Even the Koreans eating there look at you like you don’t belong there. Chicken chow mein has zero flavor. Egg rolls suck. Egg soup was the highlight.

This is my family’s go to Chinese restaurant – food and service is great here.

They always have a good pot of tea ready to be served.

I recommend their Kung Pao shrimp, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour pork, and the black bean noodles.

They have a wide range of seating options, large and small.

There’s valet parking lot in the back.

Love this place! Can never get enough of it. My family and I have been going to this restaurant for 20+ years. We usually get the hot pepper diced beef, fried shrimp with spice, and sizzling shrimp soup for a starter. This restaurant is family style so portions are big and definitely worth the price. I also really like the fried dumplings and jajangmyeon. This restaurant is family owned and have always been very kind to us. Kimchi is usually freshly made.
